Absolutely filled with natural light, classic furnishings, and a stunning wraparound screened porch, this home is more than ready to assist in making the best memories. Watch the boats go by as you relax in the rocking chair on the front porch to start each day on a peaceful note. The main floor will be the hub for entertaining with plush furnishings, a cozy gas fireplace, and eclectic touches of a quaint cottage that will make everyone feel at home. Head into the full kitchen and you will find a gas range, dishwasher, and all of the utensils need to whip up tasty meals for the whole gang. A dining nook awaits adjacent to the kitchen, yet more formal meals can also be enjoyed at the dining table! Plus, the lower floor is home to the laundry room, so don't worry about dirty clothes on this trip.

    Sitting right on the shore of the Kalamazoo River, you will have no problem getting out on the water to fish, swim, boat, and more! If you want to spend warm summer days on the sand with a good book in hand, Oval Beach is less than a mile away offering stunning views of Lake Michigan. When it is time to grab a bite to eat, stock up on groceries, or check out the charming shops in town, the main drag of Saugatuck is two miles away. Plus, you will be within walking distance of Mt. Baldhead Park!

Can’t say enough good about this absolutely charming property. The location, the architecture, the way it’s decorated all felt like a perfect escape for our family of 4. Our 5 and 7 year old kids loved exploring in and out too. It would probably be tight for multiple families but was ideal for us. Cheers to the property owners for th family photos and artwork - makes it feel like a real genuine cottage loved for generations.

This cabin was so family-friendly. My grandkids were not on this trip but I hope to bring them here some day. Well-stocked kitchen. Fenced area for our little dog run. Comfortable beds and great locale for getting around town. Live music came across the water pretty audibly over the weekend; still a party in Saugatuck after Labor Day!

Lovely cottage

This was a great cottage to stay in! An amazing location close to the beach, awesome coffee spot, and town. The cottage has everything you need for a stay and has so many great places to congregate and relax.

This place was charming and in a great location. It's right next to the chain ferry which is nice, but it wasn't working while we were there. It was decently clean but a bit musty. The shower in the basement leaked and we had to pull out a wad of hair in the shower drain on the main floor. Over all a good experience, but it is an older cabin so you take the good and the bad that comes with that.

Beautiful home right across from the chain ferry, within walking distance from Oval Beach and "the steps" overlooking Saugatuck . It has a great screened front porch, plenty of places to sleep with amazing views, and free wifi. My group will definitely book again.

Old time Lake Cabin in a fabulous location

Very Clean and comfortable. Love the front porch. It’s an old cabin in the woods without A/C. Manage your expectations! We really enjoyed it and took advantage of the trails. Chain ferry is unreliable but we were able to use it. My son caught fish across the street. We loved Moosah coffee and the area hiking and amenities.

Story book cottage

We had a family wedding and it was perfect for having a few of my family members for dinner. It’s comfortable and cozy, yet plenty of room to never feel crowded. Well stocked towels and kitchen utensils. We enjoyed the screened porch. Beach is a short distance away. Definitely going to rent again.

The property is definitely an old cottage, but a good location. There is no installation, not updated, no window shades (very bright in the morning and evening). I knew it wouldn't be modern, I'd recommend staying for no more than a couple of days. The price is very high for the actual cottage and the downstairs smells very mouldy /damp.The porch the best part to watch the boats go by ln the river. Surprisingly there's no recommendations on the area or restaurant or beach recommendations. It was nice, but it is expensive for what it is.

Lovely home

We just loved our time at Anna’s Cottage. It was spacious, warm and welcoming. The windows (and views!) are gorgeous and we loved the photo of the same porch we sat on from the early 1900s. Located across the street from the Chain Ferry and within walking distance to Mt. Baldhead and Oval Beach, the location is perfect. Highly recommend!

Terrific Cottage

The property sits on the Kalamazoo River with an elevated screen porch perfect for watching the boat traffic. The cottage is a short ride to Oval Beach. It is a very traditional three season cottage that is clean and beautifully decorated. Short drive to Saugatuck or quick Chain Ferry ride (if it is open).

Great on fall nights

We had a great stay at Anna’s cottage! The porch was a perfect place to hang out on the cooler nights. The rooms were a little tight but it is necessary to fit everyone in there! We loved that we could open the windows and hear the music across the river. This place would be perfect during peak season, but unfortunately the chain ferry that runs directly across from the house doesn’t run after labor day. However, the Interurban ended up being the perfect transportation for us! Overall a great stay with clear clean up instructions!

Lovely vacation spot

We always enjoy Saugatuck in the Fall and this trip was exceptional. Our home away from home choice truly added to the experience. Because of being elderly, we did find all the stairs daunting. And the toilet in the main bathroom definitely needs to be higher. However I would still give this cottage a 5 star review. It was charming and we absolutely loved the screened porch overlooking the river.

Beautiful cottage full of charm!

We loved the screen porch the most, playing games in the evening and enjoying coffee in the morning watching the boats go by. The cottage is a unique blend of a historical family cottage and an upgraded newer home. Specifically, the juxtaposition of the modern kitchen's convenience and the claw foot tub and exposed rafters beaconing back to times gone bye. There is a palpable sense of historical connection with the area that feels like a privilege to be permitted to share in. Thank you for sharing this lovely place through Vacas! We plan to come for another stay in the future, such a great place!

A lovely weekend

Located right across the river from downtown Saugatuck. You'll need to drive around to get there though :) It's a great location to sit on the screened porch and listen to the music across the water. Very spacious place. Lots of sleeping but one bathroom; bigger groups will need to coordinate accordingly. Lovely time of year to go, No AC but short walls allow air to move freely in the upper bedroom space. Kitchen is large and has pretty much you'll need. Everything was as expected. We had a great time!

Location, Character, and Clean

This home was in the perfect setting on the quiet side of Saugatuck. Not having to worry about parking was nice and to travel over to all of the shopping on the chain ferry was so fun! The house is right next to a 1 mile trail that takes your right to Oval beach. The character of this house is endless and has everything you need. A room downstairs for our parents to sleep in and plenty of space upstairs for us and an entire room dedicated to our clothes! Haha Only reason I gave a 4 is because the house doesn't have air conditioning. It got pretty hot throughout the day.

Charming Victorian, but not for people who like new and shiny!

Anna‘s cottage was perfect for this mom and two adult daughters who loved the energy of this family cottage and appreciated its untouched beauty. Its location was perfect as one could walk to the beach. Weekend bar noise is to be expected. The second bathroom is in the basement which we did not use, so a full house might be a bit crowded. You can hear each other through the open ceilings in the second floor, but that was part of its charm for us! Early June temperatures were perfect although I can see it might get hot in the summer without AC. We loved the front porch and the comfy furniture and the kitchen had everything we needed. We’ll be back! Thank you to the owners for sharing their family heritage.
