Sun Outdoors, located in beautiful Sarasota Florida, offers many amenities including a 25-meter indoor lap pool, water slide, outdoor pool, bar and snack stand, splash pad, pickle ball, gym, mini golf, shuffleboard and more! Come and visit one of the most popular resorts of all time and you are sure to have your days filled with several activities for adults and kids alike.

Our home, which we have appropriately named “Fun in the Sun”, is a 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bathroom unit that has been recently renovated. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed with an attached bath; bedroom 2 also has an attached bath and a twin sized hidden pull out Murphy bed. This room can also be used as a study or relax room as there is a comfy chair in it. We have upgraded high speed Wi-Fi .

The main living area consists of a living room with a pull-out couch that has a new, updated mattress, tv, kitchen which is fully stocked with all necessary cooking equipment, and a dinette area for two.

The Lanai, located out the sliding doors, has an additional area for relaxing with the family and watching a 65” TV on a twin pull out couch. A small office area is also there for computer work. There is a full sized washer dryer there for your use as well.

All TV's have Roku and a large selection of cable channels

Outside, the driveway is wide enough to park the largest of cars and still have room for the golf cart with seating for four should you decide to rent that for a small additional charge.

On the side of the home is a beautiful gazebo stocked with comfortable chairs.

We had a good time!

This is our 3rd year at Sun Outdoors. The resort itself is always a good time. Our stay at our unit was clean, had pretty much everything that is needed and we had great communication with our host. We had the option of renting there golf cart which was nice to have around the park.

It was just okay

No instructions from VRBO, the owner, Ellen will text you all the information, then proceed to text you more than I was comfortable with during my stay, til I ignored her text. She seems to be a nice woman, but I think her cleaning lady is doing the very least possible. The floor will make your feet black within 15 minutes took us three times with a swiffer to halfway clean the floor, we then went to a floor cleaner to clean it because it was so disgusting. Nobody cleans under the furniture or behind anything everything is surface cleaning, so upon entry everything looks okay. We saw many palmetto bugs, which is a fact of life in Florida but having lived in the area for many years a good exterminating company can keep that all under control. In fact, one was on my pillow one night when I was going to bed. You can’t see out the windows because nobody’s cleaned them so don’t bother opening the curtains. Which was what bothered me the most, coming from the cold to warm Florida and keeping the blinds closed. For the price it was adequate. The location is great, the pool and amenities are fabulous with lots of friendly people. Just plan on doing some cleaning before relaxing.

Sun outdoors

All of our kids and grand kids all stayed in the RV resort. A good time was had by all. We celebrated Easter and 3 birthdays. Ellen was an awesome host. Thank you for the treats for us and our dog Rosie. We will be back!!!

We truly enjoy the lovely house, the hosts ans the park with so many activities! House perfect for 4 Adults with all the needed amenities. Fast internet perfect for working and streaming (not from the park), perfect communication with Ellen: every one have enjoy their stayed! I will go back there without any hesitation! Thanks!

Great getaway

For those looking for a vacation spot to go with lots of families this works out great, every family can rent their own little home. This place was in a friendly neighborhood and had more amenities than the park rentals. It slept 5 of us (our adult children all had their own pull out), the main bed was very comfortable and we had laundry-bonus! The grill and gazebo were cherries on top. Ellen was very good at accommodating us and communicated readily. We had a lovely stay.

This place is a hidden jewel for a family!

Ellen had great communication and made sure every detail was ready when we arrived! Even left a check in basket and some goodies. The property was perfect for us and our 3 teen daughters. There are so many activities to do in and around the grounds. Some days we never even left the RV park. The pool is beautiful and the restaurant and bar had good food and friendly service it’s the perfect place to make friends. If you fish the ponds on the property are swarming with all kinds of fish. We also rented a golf cart from her and everything was perfect!

Perfect for our needs

This was perfect for our two week stay. We prefer to spend time outside and have been camping for years. A great community with a huge pool! The owner was great to work with and even left us a basket full of items we may need as well as a treat 🙂 Would stay again and highly recommend it.
