Disappointing

Upon arrival to the property, we weren't sure where the front entrance was because the shrubs were so over grown. During the first morning at the property, I went outside to the pool area to have coffee and found over a dozen cigarette butt scattered around the pool area. After calling the property office and a representative arriving to look at the property, they responded "OMG, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize the property was in this bad condition. Let me take some pictures and call the office to get someone out here right away to take care of some of these issues." All the pool toys were taken away because they were so dirty. The outside table cushions and the outside furniture cushions were measure for replacement because they had mold on them. Finally, the bbq grill was not use able because it was so dirty and greasy. A landscaper did come out to start to clean the property and after 4 hours of work left with a full truck of debris. He did mention to me that the property would probably need at least two more visits to finish the clean up. I was refunded a couple of days due to the condition of the property.

Very nice home

We really loved the location of this home. It was located close to downtown Siesta Key and the neighborhood was very quiet. The home was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The management was readily available for any questions.

Nice home

Property manager are great. On the spot for all your needs. Very busy area but nice and convenient to get everything you need. Loved the house. Close to everything. I would recommend a stay here for sure. Needs a pool heater. Great pool but cold in the off season. Felt very safe in the area overall.

Loved our stay

Really enjoyed our stay in Sarasota. The house was clean and well appointed as well as convenient to many local business points of interest. We especially liked the lanai/pool area which provided privacy and comfort for our "social hour" after a day of activities. The pool was also well cared for and was great for cooling down on the hottest days!

Great hideaway!

We loved this house! Very private, clean and exactly as pictured. We really enjoy the Gulf Gate location and it is centrally located to shops, restaurants and Siesta Key and other beaches. We would definitely stay here again! And Ohhhh....did I mention the wonderful pool!

Better than expected

Had a wonderful experience from check in to check out. Owners were easy to reach & responded promptly. Property is well maintained & the pool was perfect. Location is fantastic. Easy drive or uber to Downtown sarasota, siesta key village & Venice. Property is beautiful (felt like we were staying in a resort).

A nice property that could add a few things to make it great

Lilac Place is a great location on a cul-du-sac in Sarasota’s Gulf Gate area. There are many dining and shopping locations just a short drive or bike ride away. Siesta Beach is a short 10 minute drive away. Adding a few items would make this a top draw.. 1. Add an ironing board for long term rentals 2. The second bedroom needs privacy shades 3. Adding more lighting in the living room would encourage “readers”.
