The rental was exactly as listed. Location is a short walk to the beach and having the pool was a bonus. We loved it. Sitting out back or in the front yard both gave you the sense of privacy with lush landscape. We will definitely stay again.

This property was a slice of AMI heaven! The proximity to the beach, the size of the house, the landscaping & pool in the backyard - everything was just perfect!

Perfect for Us!

My husband and I have been coming to AMI for years and this place has been the best as far as proximity to the beach and shopping in both directions…easy walk to all. We spent many evenings on the front porch and enjoyed the privacy the beautiful landscaping provided. We would definitely stay again.

The VRBO was not clean when we arrived. Also, kitchen items were put away in the drawers that were never cleaned and were in poor condition.

Great location, convenient to shops and restaurants with golf cart but still quiet. Unit was clean but had a little bit of a rundown feel (broken/missing plug covers, rusted refrigerator, broken floor tiles, chipped paint). Anticipated a more usable yard. No grass, artificial turf only so if you have a pet they are not allowed to use the backyard. You have to walk the dog down the street. Grill and table and chairs is not back with the pool but out front instead. Pool is nice but more of an oversized hot tub. Second day they came and cleaned it and said to wait 30 minutes before using. We went to the beach for about 3 hours before returning to the pool. My friends bathing suit completely bleached out as did my husband’s swimming trunks. Not sure what happened. Overall enjoyable and a beautiful community. With a few minor tweaks this place could be a 5 star.

Great house and location

The house was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean and seems to have been updated recently which was very nice. The front and back yards with the artificial turn was fantastic and much cleaner to have our dog outside with us. The pool, while small, was great for cooling off and relaxing. Finally, the location was great and central to many island attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved it

Impressed with the cleanliness which is very important to me. Even the front and back yards were immaculate! Location is great and privacy superb especially for a corner lot. My only suggestion would be to provide complete beach equipment, otherwise - perfect! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful!

Property was pristinely clean. We enjoyed the pool. Bed comfortable and enough room for a family of 6 to have enough space. Quick walk to beach. One minor incident when the dryer stopped working, but the office had it fixed in less than 24 hours and were very helpful. This was our favorite vacation yet! Will book again.

Barefoot Dreams is a lovely place to stay location is the best,very close to a wonderful Holmes beach easy to walk or drop off your stuff in your car. The only reason I would not give a 5 star rating primary bedroom mattress needs to be updated not comfortable and shower needs to have more of a closure so floor does not get so wet.

Perfect beach bungalow for small family

Everything was as stated for our rental. It was the perfect size and space for my wife and two kids, age 11 & 7. Location being a block from beach access was great. An easy walk back and forth with beach gear on a cart. The small pool was a homerun for our two kids. It's small but deep enough that the kids enjoyed daily. It was perfect for morning and evening entertainment for the kids. The location is pretty quiet and the north end shops and restaurants are a short 3 min golf cart/drive. Same for shopping on the southern end of AMI. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and would love to come again.

First and last VRBO experience

We were scheduled to arrive week after Ian. I called before Ian asking for guidance as I had vehicle and a hotel reserved as well for this trip. Agency said they would communicate with me throughout week. Day before we headed out I had not heard from anyone so I left message at emergency phone number explaining I needed to know what to do….no response. Next morning I received check-in info so I thought surely this is agencies response to my inquiry, so we left from SC. After traveling all day, and already in FL, hours before checking in I received a phone call stating we could not be accommodated and could be rescheduled for following year. I couldn’t believe it! No communication as promised until too late. I requested a full refund. Took a chance and called another agency on island and they had an available house, same price but much bigger. Won’t go thru VRBO again, never know who stands behind it

Barefoot Dreams

The updates; landscaping, pool, and new furniture were a wonderful surprise. The cleanliness upon arrival was top notch. Our suggestion is this, having sheets that fit the bed (in master) would make so much more sense and definitely look and feel better. It was a constant struggle. The washing machine kept having hiccups during white cycles and dryer at times, took 2 rotations as well. These are not huge issues but would make the stay much better. We do love this area and have rented here specifically, 4 times and will again next year. Thank you

Very lovely When all updates have been completed it should be perfect. Some suggestions: A little barrier between pool and coming out back door. In addition to having something to hold onto getting in/out of pool. Seniors need that in particular. Grab bars in tub/shower area. The front and back outside areas are so nice to enjoy. Having washer/dryer is wonderful. The short easy walk to the lovely beach works out fine. Thank you Grab bars in shower/tub areas.
