"The indoor spa was great. Staff were awesome as well - really professional. Can imagine it's great when the outdoor spa is open and during the summer. Some of the negatives...breakfast could do with some improvements, the ingredients tasted low quality some of the cooking was questionable (fried eggs for example). The place had a general feel of getting refurbished so felt hard done by paying full price... Our room (28) smelt like drains and the view was blocked by scaffolding. Also some mold...

"The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits. The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made. The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. "

"What a pleasant place this was. We had food in the Dolly bar and it was excellent. The staff are very helpful. The room was clean and had everything you could want If I was being picky it would of been lovely to of seen outside lights from the bar so you could see the river in the dark"

"Homey inn, good breakfast, convenient location. Layout of the single differed from the photo, with an awkward placement of the television hovering over the bed, which was also a bit soft and wobbly. Other rooms likely more comfortable. Complimentary drink when forgoing room cleaning was a nice touch. "
