Stay in beautiful downtown Santa Margarita and be centrally located to everything! SLO is only 10 minutes away and Paso is 20 minutes! Wine tasting, fabulous restaurants, beaches, golfing, weddings, shopping and hiking; Santa Margarita is close to it all.

Amenities
This single story spacious 2,300 square foot home includes wood floors throughout the kitchen and living room, travertine tile in the bathrooms and carpet in the bedrooms. The large gourmet kitchen opens to the living room and includes an oversized butcher-block island. Bar stools surround the island table for casual dining or sit at the dining table for a more formal experience.

The living room is cozy and inviting with an open floor plan and high ceilings. There is a flat screen HDTV and a DVD player. The master bedroom offers a king size bed with TV and private bath, walk in shower and dual sinks. Both guest bedrooms are spacious and feature queen size beds. The second bathroom has a deep bathtub with custom tile and an oversized shower-head.

Enjoy the small town feel on the front porch or dine al fresco on the back deck! Gas BBQ is available for your grilling needs. Have fun on the backyard lawn or relax by the outdoor fire pit while sipping some delicious local wine.

Wireless internet is available and there are good cellular connections throughout the area.

Activities In The Area
The home is within walking distance to Ancient Peaks Winery, Margarita Adventures, The Range, The Porch and more. Many wedding venues are close as well; Santa Margarita Ranch is less than a mile away and Spanish Oaks, Taft Ranch and Grace Maralyn are all just down the road.

Santa Margarita is less than 20 minutes away from Paso Robles where you can visit over 200 wineries and dine around the town's square at some amazing restaurants.

Downtown San Luis Obispo is 10 miles away and features restaurants, movie theaters, and the beautiful historic mission. Every Thursday evening you can enjoy the family friendly Farmers Market filled with great food, live music and entertainment.

If you’d like to spend your day on the beach, head to nearby Avila, Pismo Beach or Morro Bay. Here you can enjoy a variety of activities including kayaking, windsurfing, boogie boarding and surfing. You can also explore beautiful Montana de Oro State Park in Los Osos. Go north on the Pacific Coast Highway and explore the quaint towns of Cayucos and Cambria, and Hearst Castle in San Simeon.

My family and I stayed here and it was wonderful. The house was clean, had everything we needed, and was much larger than I originally thought. Kristin was very communicative and clear with everything. We will definitely stay here again.

Another calm, restful stay

We have stayed here 3 years in a row. We LOVE the quiet neighborhood, location and the fun neighborhood parade celebrating 4th of July. Kristen has a lovely, dog friendly home. She is very prompt answering any questions we might have.

Nice looking home in a very quiet neighborhood.Front porch and seating was messy with spiderwebs, dust and dried plant debris.Walking in the door, the first thought is nice and big! Then the smell of Cat urine hits you hard!Smells mostly in the entry area, Primary and the room with the 1/2 bath. Also this back room is in need of flooring and door repair.We had nowhere else to stay so I found air freshener and sprayed often. We were at an event all day and only slept and groomed during our stay.The bottom of the Curtains in the Primary appeared to have Pet urine stains near the floor.The Television did not work in the Primary. The remote looked like it’s never been cleaned.The Television in the Living room had no instructions. The stain on the cabinets throughout the house were very chipped. It felt like a Cheap Motel.Bed sheets looked undone like they had been slept on. Towels need sanitized. Too many dirty throw rugs throughout the house.I don’t enjoy giving this review but we did not expect to pay for this level . 1400 is way too much for a Cat House.Also the house creaked way more than an old house should and what sounded like a Large Beam fell in the attic the last night of our stay.Sadly disappointed, Terry

Perfect!

Incredibly close to Santa Margarita Ranch where we had a race the weekend we came to town. Our toddlers were safe and comfy, with plenty of room to hang inside or outside. We went on long walks through the neighborhood both mornings we were there and the kids loved it! Perfect location, amenities and warm feel for my whole family.

Perfect Getaway for the 4th!

This is our second 4th of July spent at Kristin and Taylor’s home. It’s a perfect home for us and our pups! Plenty of space if we wanted family to join us. Great front porch and backyard! We LOVE watching the neighborhood parade from the front porch. So fun! Indoors has all the necessities…comfy beds, stocked kitchen and games galore!! Great location too! Thanks Kristin for the easy communication! “See” you next year!

Everything we wanted

Great experience. The house was located perfectly for our stay. We were close to the wedding location. The house is clean, large and easy for a large family to spend time together. Great back yards for our dogs. Best housing experience we ever had. We will highly recommend this place to family and friends.

Front porch life

Very nice home. Great neighborhood. Very walkable. Friendly people of all age groups. House has big fully equipped kitchen. Master bedroom is huge.fenced in backyard was a hit with our dogs. Loved the front porch and back deck. There is also a tankless hot water heater.

Great house in a nice little town

4 friends and I enjoyed 5 days in Santa Margarita again this October. House is well laid out, seating area accomodates a large group well. The deck and back yard are lovely. We're return renters for good reason. Onky disappointment was no gas for bbq.

Bad and Good

Good : location, space, natural light, owner tried to rectify problems with new sheets and bath mat and tablets to clean the washer, which was all appreciated but I dont want to deal with any of this on vacation. The house is in physically good condition, but not clean. House has great potential minus these things. Bad : Dirty bathroom rugs, moldy shower curtain, bleach stained sheets, really bad smelling washing machine, torn bath mat. Someone lives on the property and this is not disclosed until you arrive and read the binder. Online listing says you will have the whole house and yard.

Santa Margarita is a cute little town close to SLO and Paso Robles. Be sure to check out the Ancient Vine tasting room and do not miss out on dinner at The Range restaurant. One of the best meals we’ve ever had.
