In the very desirable Beach Hill neighborhood, you'll be right in the heart of this iconic California coastal town. Just three blocks from the well-known Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the sand itself, you'll have easy access to restaurants, museums, galleries, and more just steps away. Attractions like the Roaring Camp Steam Engine, Pasatiempo Golf Course, and Natural Bridges State Park are also just a short drive from this gorgeous Santa Cruz retreat.

Spacious and bright with tall ceilings, this Santa Cruz condo will allow your whole group to spread out with a large, open floor plan. The well-designed kitchen is fully-stocked with all the major appliances that you would expect, including a dishwasher. Counter top gadgets include a coffee grinder, blender, toaster, and a microwave. Everything from lazy weekend brunches to multi-course dinners will be no problem here!

The dining room table will seat up to six, and in the adjacent living room you can curl up on the couch for some DVDs on the Blu-ray player or cable on the wall-mounted, flatscreen TV.

This home offers a private washer and dryer for guest use.

During your stay, be sure to walk the five minutes to the nearby San Lorenzo River path, right to the vibrant downtown area for unique shops, cafes, bars, and galleries. Main Beach is only two blocks away, a popular family beach for many in the San Francisco Bay area. And the awesome Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, one of the oldest amusement parks in California, offers an historic wood roller coaster, other rides, games, and even free live music in the summer - an easy walk right from your front door!

Visit Municipal Wharf and listen to the calls of the sea lions, rent surf boards and hit Cowell's Beach in search of the perfect wave, or rent some bikes and explore some of the nearby paved trails. Other attractions include the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, a day trip to San Francisco, just under an hour and a half north or the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, only 43 miles south.

The issues with previous reviews have been fixed. The master bed is a king now and doesn't squeak anymore. We paid for the late check out till 2 but the door code locked us out as we were trying to pick up our stuff and customer service was really easy to deal with. Would definitely stay here again.

The balcony view of the Boardwalk Amusement park is fantastic! Great for breakfast and and evening sit down.Kitchen had plenty of tools and a good fridge. Master bedroom is comfy with ample storage. Be prepared for the stairs!The whole space was cleaned very well, and windows provided good airflow to cool or warm the space, depending on which time of day you opened them.Very easy to walk right up to the shore and wharf. My favorite location I’ve stayed in Santa Cruz so far. We would highly recommend!My one note about Santa Cruz for any families wanting to visit the Boardwalk Amusement Park is to check the operating hours ahead of time. We were dismayed to learn the park is NOT open on weekdays in the Fall, despite what Google may say. Always check the official site! (no worries for the property owner, as this was on me)

Wonderful three floor apartment

Great two bedroom apartment. Be aware, there are three floors so if stairs are hard fory ou, this wont be a good fot. Balcony looks out on the boardwalk. Nice stocked kitchen. Safe garage parking. Nice size rooms. Beach toys for kids. Sea lions and seals at the pier andLots of rides and restaurants all within walking didtance. Beautiful cliff walk/ run. Watch surfers. Walk to trails, shopping and a bike path along the river. All so close and fun!

No AC

This house was ok. Not spectacular not awful but it suited a need for a stay. There is no AC in this house and if you are lucky like me you get to have an open window that your toddler can fall out of while listening to the neighbors sound like they are drowning a cat while singing karaoke to each other. However it’s not the leasing company’s fault the neighbors are gone deaf. I would not bring a toddler or younger here or anyone with disabilities even just old age. I put that on myself as I should have found somewhere that was safer for my toddler and elderly mom. Having the garage is nice. I was glad I could park my car and just walk in, only issue was the security camera is inside the garage which leaves no privacy inside the house and you have to walk past wide open windows to the outside that anyone can look into so the safety of an attached garage is out the window. There are two more uncovered windows so make sure you aren’t walking up or down the stairs after a shower in the random full bathroom on the top floor with no bedrooms. All in all it was a good stay. I just wouldn’t stay there again.

No A/C - No screens on windows

This unit does not state they did not have A/C and no screens in windows in bedrooms so no way to get air into bedroom’s unless you wanted bugs to fly in. Only 1 small and 1 box fan for circulation. They also have 3 flights of stairs and I feel that should be noted in the unit as well.

Expedia priced this property at such an affordable price!! I will keep booking my vacations through Expedia. The property was very very clean. A very easy 2 to 3 block walk down to the beach. It had great accommodations making this whole experience good. Check in and out we’re beyond easy. I can’t wait to book again with everyone! Great house!

The place was absolutely adorable! It had a great view of the boardwalk and is walking distance to the beach. The showers there have amazing pressure! We loved that there were beach towels available and toys to play in the sand and make sand castles! Thank you for letting us rent your home for our first time in Cali! The only complaints and things to worry about are: The stairs are horrendous if you have bad knees (which we expected, but just as a warning to others) and the master bed isn’t comfortable at all. Way too soft! For some reason the smart tv upstairs won’t let you in Netflix but the one in the master bedroom will, so bring some games to play in the evening!

Enjoyed the stay, nice quiet neighborhood 5 minutes from the wharf. Many stairs but there is a dumbwaiter. Needs a little polishing but otherwise a gem.

Boardwalk Nightmare

Way out of date interior needs better cleaning. The place needs a coat of paint. Soap and shampoo is powder in biodegradable containers… it’s horrible. No A/C. Three stories… get ready to climb stairs. Noisy neighbor dog barking at night…. Ya, I recommend it🚫

Some ups and down. Good location

We had good and bad experiences with this rental. Starting off with the positives, the location of the house is great. It was a short walk to boardwalk and pier. Garage is a plus, with extra parking if you need it. You can see and hear the amusement park from the living room, but it shuts down around 9pm so it’s not too loud. They do provide some beach toys and chairs, no beach towels. Check in isn’t until 4pm (why so late?) and when we arrived close to 4:10, the cleaning company was still in the unit. After driving 3 hours, I just wanted to get settled. The front door code that was emailed to me did not work, so we had to call their support line and have them reset it. If anything happens, do NOT text them. They didn’t answer my text for 10 hours. Just call. The floors were dirty, to the point all our feet were black within 5 minutes of being in the house. Once we got through the rough check-in process, experience wasn’t so bad. House stayed cool during the day and neighborhood was quiet, minus a few fireworks at night. The beds were uncomfortable though. Old, saggy, squeaking box spring mattresses. At 5 months pregnant, it was a rough week for sleeping. This is a 3 story unit, but the stairs weren’t horrible, just a little steep. If you have little ones, I’d suggest bringing 2 baby gates to keep them off the stairs. Also, if there’s more than 2 of you wanting any hot coffee/tea, there’s only 2 mugs in the house. Overall, not a bad stay.

Great Location

This is a great place to stay. The location is lovely- set back from boardwalk chaos but close enough to ride your bikes or walk places. Some things to note: the second floor has both bedrooms, and they are to share the bathroom. The second bathroom is on the third floor, where the kitchen, dining room, and living room areas are. The main bedroom has limited lighting as there are no overhead lights. The garage door didn't work, so we had to open it manually. When you do book this place, make sure you go through your vacasa email and get details on your trip so that you can confirm your identity and get all of the check-in instructions. SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT: BRING YOUR OWN LINENS! All the linens, pillowcases, and bedding had stains on them.

Not worth the money

Sheets and linens still had body hairs on them, the house had a musty/moldy smell to it. Spare pillow in the closet had dried bodily fluids (blood?).. Vacasa was extremely difficult to work with and it took a LOT more effort than it should have to remedy the situation. Ultimately we checked out two days early and went to a hotel. Home needs some serious love before new renters check in.

Good location

My husband, adult son and I were in town to attend a funeral. This property suited our needs. It was fairly clean. It’s a 3 story unit. The staircase is a bit narrow and difficult to carry luggage up. It has a small package lift installed, however we couldn’t get it to work. There is ample parking, including a single car garage for our use. The only complaint we have is that there wasn’t any body wash or bar soap in the showers. They supplied quarter size samples of a “trial” product. A fine powder. It was not nearly enough for an adult shower or bath. We’ve never stayed at a property that didn’t provide shower products. When we checked in, the front door was open and ajar. Nothing seemed to be missing, but we didn’t have an inventory sheet to check.

Great family spot

This unit, was in a perfect spot for our family's needs. It was close to the Kaiser Arena (5 minute walk) and about 2 blocks from the Boardwalk. The house was clean and set up when we got there. The space is not huge, but it was fine for our 4 night stay. If you have mobility issues, the 3 stories might be difficult to navigate, although there is a dumbwaiter to help you get heavy items and groceries to the kitchen on the 3rd floor. The driveway on the side of the house was awesome, since we didn't have to pay for parking during our trip:) The only issue we had was that the digital lock was a little finicky, so I had to call Vacasa to get the code for the key lock. The TV remote was not working in the bedroom and the lamp on the left of the main bedroom was not working. These were small things that I wanted to let the management company know about. We really enjoyed our trip and would happily book this home again in the future!
