The property was very nice. The view was over the top beautiful. The only thing is you are away from everything. The buses suck. Taxi will be $60-$70 every time you go from the villa to Sorrento main plaza. Angelo was kind to drop us off once but you can’t expect him to do that every time. Breakfast was nice we thought it was good until we stayed at the other hotels on our trip and saw what they offered. We did a 10 day trip in total. 4 in Sorrento 3 in Maiori and the rest in Ischia. I would have done one less in Sorrento and one more in Maiori instead.

Une magnifique villa bénéficiant d’un emplacement exceptionnel, avec une vue panoramique sur la mer à couper le souffle. Tout y est réuni pour faire du séjour un véritable moment de détente et de sérénité. Chaque instant est une invitation à la contemplation, tant le paysage est d’une beauté saisissante. La plupart des sites touristiques sont facilement accessibles, mais il faut être motorisé. Un grand merci également à Angelo, qui veille avec une gentillesse remarquable au bien-être de ses hôtes. Disponible et toujours souriant, il est attentif et prêt à rendre service. Sa bienveillance et son désir sincère de faire plaisir font toute la différence et contribuent grandement à rendre le séjour parfait. L’équipe qui l’encadre est tout aussi sympathique. Mention spéciale à Maria et à barbe bleue. Côté détente, la villa dispose d’un superbe espace de relaxation avec un jacuzzi offrant une vue imprenable sur la mer, piscine, parfaits pour savourer pleinement ce cadre idyllique. Une adresse à recommander…

Villa la ventana was overall a nice stay. This is my honest opinion after going off of many of the reviews provided online. Pros: The staff were nice - Luca, Angelo, and Gaetano were available to answer questions as they came up often and were nice to chat with for recommendations. Rooms and the villa as a whole were quite clean. The view is exceptional.. - we enjoyed incredible sunrises/sunsets from our bedroom. Air conditioning was great after hot days out exploring. Also the restaurants in the area are cozy, so delicious ( at least to us americans!), and amazingly friendly. Considerations: I think the staff do a good job letting guests know that it can be a bit of a pain to get around without car/scooter. With that said, we walked on the road to side paths which led down to all the restaurants. I often appreciated the walk at the end of the night, after dinner but will say this location may not be an ideal fit for folks that have limited mobility etc Cons: I had a hard time with our bed; I found the pillows/mattress quite uncomfortable and lumpy. If outside at the balcony level, you will likely encounter quite a bit of noise from the busy road outside the villa; this is not an issue in the room when doors are closed - up by the pool, you are also more hidden from noise. Finally, hot water ran out fast in the showers in our room. Overall, we found this a good choice for our time in sorrento!

Happy holidays at Villa La Ventana

We had a great stay here. The views are simply amazing and the pool area is lovely to pass a relaxing few hours. We thoroughly recommend staying at Villa La Ventana for a wonderful place to explore both the Amalfi coast and Sorrento peninsula. You need a car to make the most of the location but well worth being away from the main tourist hustle & bustle. A friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay at this family-owned establishment from the three brothers who between them offer good company, good service and a delicious breakfast omelette! Die Aussicht und die Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeber ist sehr hervorzuheben. Bei etwaigen Fragen wurde schnell und lösungsorientiert gehandelt. Ich kann die sehr auf Sicherheit ausgelegte Unterkunft nur empfehlen, auch wenn ein Auto in dieser Region fast Pflicht ist! Gerne wieder! Viele Grüße

4 nights in August

We had a great stay at this family owned gem. 4 nights in the August heat with beautiful view over the bay. The pool was especially nice during this time and have to mention the brothers that run the place and made us feel right at home!

This is a special place. Brothers are amazing. Very nice B&B. Would only recommend if you have a car. 15min drive to sorrento. Worth it. You’ll love. Trust me.

Superbe vacances, hébergement de qualité

Magnifique séjour. Villa bien placée pour les visites, vue exceptionnelle, chambre confortable, piscine et jacuzzi, parking très pratique, villa propre et bien tenue, petit-déjeuner copieux et repas du soir succulent. Manager au top, attentif, serviable, qui maitrise très bien le francais. Famille très sympathique. Une adresse a recommander. What a unique Villa !!! The website does not lie. The architect designed property was built in the late 1960's. The walls and floors are finished with colourful quality marble. This place is certainly special. We booked one of their Superior rooms for our 7 day stay on the Sorrento Peninsula, Our room had a splendid view onto the Amalfi coastline. The room size was modest, but more than adequate for our stay. We were met by Gaetano, one of three sons who run the property. Soon after Danilo, who takes great pride in the property and its gardens, introduced himself to us. His passion for his garden and home produced products beamed from him. We met with Angelo who is the primary "communicator" at La Ventana on the second day, He was super helpful and offered several suggestions on visiting the area. La Ventana does not have a restaurant as such but it is possible to eat in. A day menu is available but you can put in your special dining requests. Mamma Rosa does all the cooking and was more than happy to accommodate the two special dinner requests that we put in during our stay. Villa La Ventana has a large pool and jacuzzi which are located in the garden area above the property. From here you can see both the Amalfi and Sorrento coastlines. Overall a great experience and highly recommended to those looking for a base to tour this area of Italy.

at Find - centrally located for lots of activities

The brothers were super friendly and had some great recommendations for things to do. Angelo helped us book a tour to Capri. Totally worth it. Villa Ventana is located in Colli do Fontanele - a great mid point for exploring the amalfi coast, Pompei, Capri and Sorrento. You really do need a car though.

I spent five days at the property in August. Could't be happier with our stay. The four brothers who run the hotel are wonderful and attentive, and made our stay quite special. The hotel itself is beautiful. Great value for your money.

Viaggio in famiglia con due bambini di 10 e 6 anni. Decisamente un bel soggiorno grazie alla fantastica ospitalità della famiglia che gestisce il B&B. A questo si aggiunge una location molto bella e spaziosa con una vista stupenda del golfo. Porto di Sorrento raggiungibile in circa 20 minuti, Positano poco meno

The perfect stay for Sorrento

In my book, innkeepers make or break the stay at a B&B. In this case, we couldn't have asked for better hosts that the D'Esposito brothers. Danilo, Gaetano and Angelo all have a hand in running this expansive property along with their mother Rosa who is the master chef whipping up culinary delights in the kitchen each night. Breakfast is included, dinner (at a very reasonable price) is available each evening. They put on cooking classes, raise chickens for fresh eggs, have a pool overlooking their beautiful vistas and will soon finish a terrazzo to hold outdoor events. The property is perfectly situated. On paper it looks far from Sorrento but really it's not and the 15 minute drive is worth every minute because La Villa is on one of the highest points on the peninsula and the vistas are UNBELIEVABLE. Personally I loved the curvy hairpin drive up and down, but if that's not your speed, the hosts will shuttle you around for very reasonable rates. I can't say enough about how great our stay was... Proprio l'ottimo, la sincera verità. Mille grazie, ragazzi!

Just wow! This bed & breakfast was truly the best part of our entire trip to Europe. First off, the views are absolutely stunning and if we hadn't left the property, that would've been more than fine with us. This B&B is located in the mountains and quick walk to the most gorgeous hike we've ever done - but also not too far from some of the coastal cities. The best of both worlds! Secondly, Gatano and Danillo were excellent hosts. We had a bunch of cancellations getting there and they stayed up late to welcome us. They were more than accommodating and helped us with planning our days into Pompeii and Positano, driving us around, and even set up the most romantic, candle-lit (homemade) dinner one night for us. We have been telling multiple people to book here if they decide to stay on the Amalfi coast - highly recommend!

Excellent place !!!

Excellent Excellent Excellent! We are a couple and we looked for a quiet place to relax and this was perfect for us during our visit in Sorrento. We had a great time just relaxing in this home with a great family host and very good dinner. (even the best dinner we had in the all trip). Room are very clean beautiful and comfortable. The attention we received from the entire family was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here and we are highly recommended .

Fantastic stay with fantastic hosts

We had a great stay at the Villa. The hosts could not do enough for us, including taking our payment to the post office for our parking fine we got in Positano (we could not translate the instructions on the ticket). The views and location are simply amazing. The villa itself was well appointed and we found its location perfect for Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii and Positano. The pool area is a particular treat.
