  • La entrada al salón está a la izquierda (lado oeste) de la abadía, si te pones de cara a ella. La abadía es una iglesia de 120 años de antigüedad que antes estaba dividida en tres espacios privados independientes. El salón fue una ampliación de la iglesia, construida a principios de los años 50 y utilizada más recientemente como vivienda de un arquitecto. La casa comparte dos paredes y dos puertas que no se pueden abrir con otra suite de alquiler, pero tendrás todo el alojamiento para ti solo

    La «Downtown Abbey» es una encantadora finca de finales de la época victoriana situada en pleno centro de San Marcos. Está a un paseo de varios lugares naturales increíbles, como los ríos Blanco y San Marcos. Además, está a un corto trayecto en coche tanto de Austin como de San Antonio. Un lugar perfecto para alojarte y relajarte o para explorar Texas.

Such a special property in an old church! It’s in a precious, historic neighborhood. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood after dinner. Very convenient to Texas State. And very near pubs, cafes, HEB. The hosts were SO quick to communicate and very kind.

Amazing location, within walking distance from downtown. AC gets nice and cold, bed is comfortable with lots of pillows. The host is in contact before and after your stay and is very professional.

A quaint, lovely space, close to Palmer's and my personal faourite, the Chi Omega Lodge :) The space is adorable. Looking forward to our next stay. Ryan Brittaney are the best.

The Drawing room

My stay at the drawing room was wonderful! The rooms were very clean and spacious and bright. The Christmas tree was a welcome surprise.

Amazing space & great location

For a party of 2, this was very spacious. Easy access to downtown San Marcos. Dedicated parking was a big plus as well. Highly recommend this place to all. Will for sure come back to stay next year. :)

Roomy and Great Location

Picture don’t do this justice! The place is very spacious with a full size living, bedroom, bath and kitchen. We were able to walk to the square, which was really nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place for parents visiting students of TXST. Charming building, comfortable and clean. Near campus and downtown area very convenient. Small issue with unit not cleaned at check in time but the management responded quickly and took care of the issue. Will stay again 100%

Great Price

Excellent prize with minimal fees for a great, unique space. Loved the mix of vintage with modern necessities. The pull out couch is actually a futon, but the use of an air mattress was a bonus. Would highly recommend

The house was better than expected. It was clean, neat and very spacious for our family. Check in/out was super simple and the location was perfect. It was centered around everything we wanted to do. I rate this place 10/10. The only issue we had was the people that were staying on the other side did not comply with the quiet hours between 10pm-8am.

San Marcos with character

We loved staying in the Drawing Room of the Downtown Abbey. Check in was easy and very thankful for a parking spot. The layout of the place was quaint and it checked our boxes of cleanliness, character, and coziness. It was roomy and functional. The record player was a nice touch. We watched TV as well. It is walking distance to the square, however, we drove with plenty of parking available. Fabulous restaurants nearby.

Quick Getaway

Perfect for an overnight stay. I was in town to visit my daughter and attend William Beckmann’s show at Cheatham Street Warehouse. (We were keeping tabs on the game too.) Everything that you could need is within walking distance from the Abbey (i.e. HEB, Downtown, Palmer’s, Shipley’s… ) I felt a bit guilty because it was just me staying at this cozy yet spacious little place. Y’all did a great job restoring/creating a space for guests! Love the funky vibe of the place. Thanks for a neat place.
