Located in a Historic District on the Slope above Downtown San Diego, this Charming 2-Level Guest Cottage accommodates up to 3 guests. This unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a Living Area as well as a full size Kitchen. No expense was spared in the design of this highly upgraded unit complete with private patio and natural gas BBQ. The living area features a leather sofa, a 40" 4K LED Smart TV and dining table and chairs. The kitchen is beautifully upgraded complete with everything needed to prepare your own meals during your stay. The bathroom which is new and separate from the bedrooms is equipped with plenty of plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a blow dryer. There are Queen size beds in each of 2 separate bedrooms. Both Queen beds have memory foam mattresses and are very comfortable. Each bedroom also has a 4K LED smart TV with cable access and streaming capability. Additional features include a Backyard common areas with Gazebo with table and chairs and Outdoor Fireplace. Our property is located 5 to 10 minutes driving distance to the Convention Center, Gas Lamp district, Petco Park, Coronado Island, San Diego Airport, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. Access to 3 major freeways can be found within a minute from the property. There is additionally a bus stop transit within a half block and a trolley station within 15 minutes walking distance. All local beaches are within easy driving distance from our property. Some of Golden Hill’s most popular spots such as the Turf Club, Panchitas Bakery, Krakatoa Coffee Shop, Luigi's Pizza and Golden Hill Park are all within easy walking distance. There is an on-site laundry in a separate building. The front main Queen Anne Victorian structure features views of the Ocean, Coronado Bridge and the islands off the coast from its front porch. Enjoy these beautiful and unique accommodations while experiencing all the best that San Diego has to offer.

Great situation

We stay there more than 2 weeks, and my family and I appreciate it a lot!!! The condo is in the middle of all the attractions, Zoo, SeaWorld, the Italian market... And have all the comfort that we could ask for.

The cottage was cozy and very clean.

We were there for a funeral. In other circumstances we would have enjoyed the cottage very much. It was lovely and was equipped nicely. Only thing was having the restroom upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs.

All around great place

Accommodations were as described. The property owners checked in with us to assure all was well. I thought this was a great gesture that all owners should embrace. This property is convenient to the Zoo, Balboa Park, Gas Light, and the bay waterfront including the US Navy's aircraft carrier USS Midway. Sleeping accommodations were awesome as was barbecuing on our lani. Would definitely rent again.

Owner is great to deal with and as accommodating as can be. Area is super safe but extremely run down but proximity to downtown is good. The unit is nicely renovated but we were unaware of the layout. The bedrooms are downstairs and the 1 bathroom is upstairs which made it challenging if u have to go in the middle of the night.

Great Location

What a GEM… This cute little cottage worked great for our stay. The yard was amazing to sit back and enjoy your evening.A little lacking in the kitchen supplies but overall a great place to stay. ( a little cleaning in the stairwell would have been nice)

Very Well Thought Out Place

This place #2 was very nice . Everything was clean and updated. The entire place is well thought out. Laundry right there (they provided for 3 loads), trash cans convenient, BarbeQue and fire pit add to the charm, gated property. The location is centrally located, very close to everything. The only two negatives were the neighborhood is a little sketchy, and the parking rules of San Diego are a little strange. Other than that, we loved our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a place that allows you to come a go, cook your own food, free parking, and feels like apartment living. My family of four enjoyed our stay.

Nice Place

I was in San Diago on business and one of my partners stayed with me with others staying nearby. The outside area was perfect for our meetings of 5 and instead of going out to eat we grilled out. Location was good and everything you needed was nearby. Would definitely recommend and the owner was very accessible if needed.

The stay was great. The property owner was very friendly and helpful. He was attentive to all needs and was able to help us. The laundry room was convenient. The house was cute and very clean and tidy. It has all the things needed to make the stay great. The location of the house was very convenient. It was close to so many things. This house is the nicest house in the neighborhood. The owner takes great pride in the property and keeps it updated and clean. I would stay here again.

Cozy Cabin

This was our third stay. Unit number 2 is the cabin in the rear of the property and works well for us. The addition of a common area is very nice and includes a fireplace, large gas grill, covered dining area and lounge chairs. John is a pleasure to work with and his associates are friendly and responsive.

Great set up for a family!

The cottage was lovely - well-equipped, spacious. The outdoor area with patio sets, fireplace, and BBQ was great! John was a pleasure to deal with. Neighbourhood was a bit noisy on weekday mornings (though I don't suppose the middle school dance competitions are a usual Monday and Tuesday morning at 8am occurrence...!;) Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place, great owner

This cottage was nice, clean, and comfortable. John, the owner, is attentive and replies quickly to any questions or feedback. The location for whatever you want to do in the city or nearby was excellent. I would stay here again.

Adorable guest house

I loved that the two bedrooms were downstairs, and the kitchen and living space upstairs. There was plenty of room for us all to play games and eat in the fabulous kitchen.

Lovely Cottage

Very nice for us only a mile from our sons family. On street parking was not a problem. The patio is very nice and the cottage has air conditioning if necessary. The two bedrooms are on the lower level which was not a problem for us. The owner is very responsive.

Very dusty inside, especially ledge on stairs. Pots and pans are all worn. Cooking utensils are in bad shape. Bbq was filthy. We cleaned inside somewhat. We cleaned patio and grill. Maybe check on maids work.
