Close to Ganges. 2br 1bath apartment. Peaceful treed setting

Light airy apartment located on a terraced, treed property near Ganges. Wake up to birdsong and sip your coffee or tea on the porch, then meander down to Ganges and the Saturday market along the Ganges Trail (20min), or drive your kayaks down to the beach in under 5min. This garden level suite stays cool during the hot summer months, providing a welcome oasis to replenish after island adventures. It's also cozy warm in the winter and is the ideal spot for a remote work getaway.

Out of respect for guests and neighbours, smoking or vaping anywhere on the property is strictly prohibited. The apartment is in a quiet residential area and your hosts live and work in the upstairs apartment with their newborn daughter, tri-pawed pup, and cat. Parties will not be tolerated. Well behaved pets considered for an additional cleaning fee, please message to discuss. Note that while your hosts are quiet, the house is wood construction so there is some minor sound transfer between floors as is typical for wood built homes. Quiet time is from 10pm to 9am and extra effort is made during these times to minimize noise, though with a newborn there will be some sounds they cannot control outside these hours. They have never had a noise complaint from guests, but recognize that some people are more sensitive to sound than others and want to ensure your comfort.

Convenient and quiet home base

My family and I stayed here in the fall while visiting family who live nearby and it had everything we needed. The location is convenient and central but situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The backyard views are lovely and the apartment itself is cozy and was spotless. The beds are very comfortable. The heated tile floors in the bathroom are an especially nice touch during colder weather. I was easily able to text our host but really didn’t need to more than once and we were left to our own privacy. While we did visit here with our baby and toddler, I would add that if you plan to spend a lot of time outside on property, there are some rocky steps on the way to the entry that can be a little less kid friendly. This was totally fine for us as we spent most of our time with family, but just something to keep in mind. The unit itself had no interior stairs so that made it a lot easier being inside with an explorative baby.

Wonderful experience!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the property. It was the perfect distance from town; close to get where we wanted, but far enough to feel secluded. The space was bright, warm, comfortable, and equipped for all of our needs. I will definitely recommend this place to friends!

Quiet thoughtful retreat in the trees

The suite was carefully supplied with all essentials including laundry soap , a compost bucket, salt and pepper, and a knife sharpener in addition to more expected items like towels and cooking utensils. As well, the hosts had thoughtfully supplied deck chairs , deck blankets, beach towels, and snuggly throws for the living room. The cherry on top was a beautiful bouquet of flowers and an artisan cheese to help us celebrate our event! These touches were so kind and welcoming!!

Cozy, Clean, Convenient

This sweet home had everything we needed for 4 Adults staying 4 days on Saltspring Island. We were able to prepare some of our meals, and clean up was a breeze with dishwasher and clothing washer. We discovered Bishops Walk trail, leading us to town so we could be car free. Many great new Restaurants to try: Feast was fabulous and of course our favourite Saltspring Cidery.

Clean, Well Equipped, Comfortable, Great Host

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights (two adults and two kids). We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this was by far the cleanest. The apartment was compact, and the space was well-used; it was simple and tastefully decorated. Lots of seating options for relaxing inside and out it didn't feel cramped with our family of four. The kitchen is well equipped; we cooked nearly all our meals, beds were very comfortable all bed linen was zipped close, which I thought was genius :). Kept the duvet and pillows more sanitary. The outdoor patio area was lovely, equipped with a dining table and chairs and some additional lounging chairs. It looked out onto the wild garden. Cedar was an excellent host, very friendly, helpful, and professional. It rained one of our days, but we enjoyed playing a marathon Monopoly (provided) session with the door open, listening, and watching the rain fall under the nice protection of the semi-enclosed patio.

Beautiful suite, short walk to town

Very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely, two bedroom suite. The suite is modern, well equipped, cool in the evenings and a nice getaway from a full day of activities on salt spring. Small acreage with lots of trees made it very nice to sit outside in the evenings. Excellent communications with the owner, who was very friendly and responsive. Would definitely love to stay here again, highly recommended.

Great condo

We very much enjoyed our stay on salt spring island. Cedar was an awesome host, attentive when we had questions, the condo was very clean and quiet, Cedar has a very easy system for access which was very convenient, the condo was amazingly well stocked. We would definitely recommend staying there.😀
