The Little Gem

“Authentic”, “Wild nature”, “Adventure”, “One of a kind” & “Healing space” are words used by our guests who have spent time in this magical little spot.
Hidden at the bottom of a little pathway, you will discover an original 1938 gypsy caravan renovated with care by our own hands.
Under the shade of the oak trees is an octagonal outdoor deck with a beautiful moroccan table set inviting you to soak in the sunset with a glass of wine, enjoy a meal or even grill some local meat and veggies.
Behind the center platform, large windows reflect the trees and overlook this lovely scene. A newly hand built wooden cabin with a full sliding glass wall and balcony contains a cozy room where you can fall asleep watching the night sky and awake to the song of birds and a full windowed view of the trees.
This dreamy little nest set just above a small pond, is encircled by various species of trees, wild plants, lizards, birds, and occasional muskrats and deer.
For some, your stay may resonate with adventure and originality, and for others, a moment of romance and pure relaxation.

Un super week end!

La roulotte est très agréable, équipée juste comme il faut. Notre fils de 5 ans a adoré son lit, grimper aux arbres et les jouets à disposition dans la roulotte! Le top: les soirées au coin du feu et sous les étoiles! Repos et nature au rendez vous!

Not as described in the details, in a number of respects.

The van is situated approx 40m from a busy road with almost constant traffic noise. The 'dry toilet' was basically a bucket to be emptied on the ground at the edge of a neighbouring field. The gas bottle was stored inside the van, and there was a leak, so we were told to turn it off after each use. No air conditioning (a fan only), no bathroom, no barbecue, kitchen equipment minimal with cracked and stained utensils. The pond has become extremely polluted due to the waste water emptying directly into it. We have emailed the owner with these and a number of other concerns, and she has replied " I will definitely take note of all this and start working on making things better for others at this point." The water was nice and hot and the shower worked well.
