Comfortable windmill

  • Located at the top of a hill offering a 360 ° view of the Chalonnaise countryside and overlooking the vineyards, this old windmill, fully restored, awaits you for a unique and unforgettable stay! Original and rare, the building seduces both by its character and by its interior comfort. On 4 levels, the rooms, all round, are both functional and warm, thanks to the exposed stones and the wood.

    Ground floor: kitchen with dining area and insert fireplace (oven, ceramic hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, food processor, fondue and raclette set, etc.). On the 1st floor: living room with flat screen TV and 120cm sofa bed.
    On the 2nd floor: shower room with WC, washing machine, hairdryer.
    On the 3rd floor: bedroom with the most unusual "camembert" bed, and dressing room. The dimensions of this extraordinary bed are on the photo.
    Land with orchard, garden furniture, barbecue, sunbathing, badmington ...

    Weekend, mid-week and week rentals. Approved 3 ears Gîte de France.
    All inclusive rates: bed linen, end of stay cleaning, heating (floor) and wood for the fireplace.
    Baby equipment on request. Access to the mill by a dirt road for 400m.
    "Full fridge" option: we collect your groceries from the drive, and fill the fridge before your arrival (extra € 30).

    "Campfire" option: for a magical evening by the fireside, we take care of all the installation (suppl. 30 €).

Lovely windmill located in hilltop spot. Accommodation was clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. Views are stunning including to the Jura, Alps and Mont Blanc on clearer days. We hired bikes from Cluny and cycled along the local greenway and enjoyed great walks at the Roche de Solutre and Mont Beuvray. The Musee Beaux Arts in Dijon and Musée Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon-sur-soane are both free and well worth a visit.

Gemütliche Mühle in idyllischer Umgebung

Wir hatten zu zweit einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt an einem ungewöhnlichen Ort. Der Vermieter ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit und die Umgebung lädt dazu ein, viel zu unternehmen. Man kann an der Mühle aber einfach auch nur ungestört entspannen.

beautiful surrondings , alone on top of a hill , away from it all yet so close to a lovely village. very well maintained property with everthing included to make your stay memorable . host sees to it that you are well informed of what goes on in the area , things to do and see.. would love to go again for an even longer stay

We were so excited to stay in the windmill

Our experience was superb. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. The views from the bedroom were stunning and on one occasion we were able to witness the full arch of a rainbow. Check in was welcoming and the surrounding area lovely. Thank you for letting us stay. A real iconic moment.

Summer hols

We had a fabulous relaxing 2 weeks at ‘Moulin a vent’, with spectacular views. Great place for exploring the local countryside, whether on foot or bicycle. Very nice market at Chalon-sur-saône and Givry. Autun, Mâcon and Cormatin worth a visit.

Desert

Die Mühle ist ein mit viel Liebe und Geschmack renoviertes Kleinod. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung, sowie einen unvergesslichen Ausblick sucht, der sollte es hier versuchen. Natürlich sind Radtouren und Ausflüge ins Umland jederzeit zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank an Stephane für die schönen Tage.

The fabulous old mill.

We loved the area, the landscape, the villages, the atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the nifty rebuild old mill, the friendly welcome by our host, the view and the quitness. Still only 4 km from a great supermarket and 1 km from the village. Prepare for some walking on stairs and a rough gravel road the last 500 meters to the mill; we saw it as part of the charm!
