The surrounding area offers ideal conditions for extended bike rides and hikes. A tour to the famous chalk cliffs is particularly impressive, offering breathtaking views of Rügen’s unique natural landscape. A visit to the nearby Chalk Museum is also highly recommended.

Prora is located between Jasmund and Binz—here you’ll find the 1,250-meter-long treetop trail. On this accessible trail, more than 40 meters above the ground, you can leave the stresses of everyday life behind before climbing the “Adlerhorst” (Eagle’s Nest)—an impressive wooden structure connected to the trail. From 82 meters above sea level, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of the entire island. North of Prora, it’s also worth taking a detour to the Mukran ferry terminal, where you can watch the ships come and go while enjoying coffee and cake at Peters Café.

Swimmers will also find plenty to enjoy: There’s a small swimming spot in Polchow, just 4 km away, while the fine-sand Baltic Sea beaches of Glowe and Schaabe (8–10 km) are among the most beautiful on the entire island.

For your daily needs, the neighboring town of Sagard (approx. 5 km) offers several shopping options, such as supermarkets and bakeries. In Sagard, Glowe, and Lohme, numerous restaurants and cafés also invite you to linger. Those who prefer to stay right in the vacation park can indulge in culinary delights at the on-site restaurant.
