Pwllglas has a lovely community, allowing guests to explore and feel like you’re a local. Rose Cottage has been lovingly renovated by the owners while also providing all the necessary mod cons to ensure the most luxurious stay possible.

Sleeping up to four guests in two rooms, the cottage is a countryside retreat, perfect for couples and small families. All the living and sleeping areas are conveniently situated on the ground floor. The kitchen is a fully equipped modern kitchen with a cosy living area - complete with a comfortable couch and Smart TV. As for the sleeping there is one double and one adult sized bunk room. Both contain very comfortable beds made up with the best linens. The family bathroom has been very nicely done, with shower and towel rail. Outside, guests can enjoy the enclosed back garden.

Ruthin has 600-year-old buildings which are still in use as banks, shops, and civic buildings. And with a fabulous selection of boutique and independent shops, local cafes, restaurants, bars and a lively modern arts scene, there’s plenty to do. Popular attractions such as Ruthin Craft Centre is known not only for its international art galleries but for its magnificent architecture too. And the internationally renowned Ruthin Castle is set right in the heart of the town. And with Chester only 35 minutes away, and 1 hour from Manchester by car, Ruthin is ideally placed to explore north Wales with plenty to see and do.

Ruthin is surrounded by one of the most scenic landscapes of the UK, The Clwydian Range is an unmistakable chain of purple heather clad summits, topped by Britain’s most dramatically situated ancient hillforts, overlooking the verdant Vale of Clwyd. A wonderful place to explore whatever the weather. Rose Cottage is the perfect spot to base yourself to explore the surrounding areas.
