"The accommodation was clean and well equipped. With it being next to the railway the noise of trains wasn't a problem. It was actually good when the steam trains going past."

"It had a nice lounge area. The main bedroom is a little on the small size with not much room to get round the double bed and the bedding smelt musty. One bathroom for 3 bedrooms? Overall ok but probably would not stay again."

"We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . "Very clean rooms, love the free water, tea, coffee and milk ect. Great they give a doggie rug for the fur baby and leave a toy. Love the feel of the place , friendly.. free coffee machine, dog treats, water and ice daily in the lounge and sometimes a cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to book online and check in. Parking is now £4 per day with a scratch card from the hotel for council parking. Used to be included. Great area for all amenities and beach. Stayed a few times and will return...
