Unfortunately, there was no hot water both in the evening and the following morning, which we reported to the host on departure. "This was by far one of the best inn rooms I have slept in for years. The bed was big and comfortable with a great mattress topper, two big wide windows for air. There was both a bath and a shower and both were clean. Tv and great coffee machine with plenty of milk and sugar with milk alternatives if needed. "Overall, my experience was positive with a few minor drawbacks. My room was located in a separate building, just above the gym. There were no lifts, so this could be an issue for people with mobility issues. The room itself was on the smaller side but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were really comfy. However, one downside was the loud music coming from the gym. Even though my room was two floors above, the noise was noticeable and a bit disruptive at times...

"Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."

"The hotel is an oasis of peace in a beautiful Surrey town. The staff were very helpful and the grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. However the room was not as luxurious as the photos had led us to expect. Also curry night needs to consider English tastes, the korma was so spicy I could not eat it, very disappointing. Overall I would recommend the hotel as the situation, grounds and staff were brilliant."

Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...
