Um 1085, zur Zeit der Klostergründung durch Herzog Welf I wurde bereits eine romanische, dreischiffige Basilika mit Querschiff und Flachdach errichtet. Mitte des 15 Jhd wurde die Kirche durch den Baumeister Hansen erstmals umgebaut. Heute ist die Kirche eine dreischiffige Basilika, mit freistehenden Glockenturm und romanischen Grundriss. Die architektonischen Proportionen sind Gotisch. Im Innenraum verschmelzen die Stilrichtungen des Rokoko, der Gotik und der Romantik. The facility was very nice and had a cool design. The room was very comfortable and had a good amount of space, would for sure recommend over staying in a traditional hotel room.
