Contemporary relaxed Cottage on 100 acres

Lake Okareka Cottage is a stones throw and a bit from the Lake. The property is largely planted in trees and the rest is used for horse and stock grazing.
The Cottage works well for singles, couples or families and is a quick ten minute drive into the tourist mecca of Rotorua. Oodles of space for MTB storage, kayaks, boat and float parking.

An amazing location, modern space that even though was all open plan is incredibly spacious as well as having a cozy, snug feeling. wish we could have stayed longer. perfect for a couple. lovely touches with welcome chocolate :)

Fantastic spot in Pkareka

The cottage and Okareka itself had a great feel!! Suzy was there to great us and was a fabulous as was her communication prior to our stay. We all loved the cottage which was clean, modern , well appointed & nestled in private & peaceful surroundings. We are already planning our next trip the Redwoods & everyones vote is to stay back at the cottage!!!!

Great place and location

The property is roughly 5-10min from the redwoods and is close enough to quickly hop on the highway to any attraction. The property was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Highly recommend using!!

Lovely place

My husband surprised me with a getaway. We stayed two nights. The first night we sat outside with wine and cheese enjoying the tui. It was just what we needed for the weekend. The second night we are sitting outside again, and then the music started. Our hosts were hosting a "tweenage" Halloween party. Loud music and swearing were not what we were expecting and the intrusion to our privacy was also unwelcome. It's a really lovely place, and quite well appointed, but it would have been nice to have had two quiet nights.

Perfect for what we needed

My husband and I came down for a quiet weekend near the Blue Lakes, and to participate in one of the sporting events down there. It was a great location, only a couple of km from the event start, plenty of space for us both, and most importantly - peaceful. Easy access to town and pretty much everything we needed. Plenty of space for both of us and our gear, big bathroom and comfortable living area. We'd definitely come back again. Cheers!
