Apartment

This very central charming apartment is located in an ancient building in via dei Cappellari, close to Piazza Navona and Pantheon. The historical atmosphere is preserved through its wooden ceilings and fine furniture. It offers guests two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, hairdryer, double sink, bidet, toilet and washer dryer. The kitchen, closed by cathedral-style windows, is super-equipped: stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, kitchenware and tableware, and a table for six, all available for guests. The living area presents a couch (which can be turned into a sofa bed guests can use upon request) and a corner bureau with telephone and fast fiber Wi-fi lan network with 2 workstations. An ancient internal spiral staircase leads to a private terrace, nestled between the roofs of Rome, with table and chairs, sink and barbecue. The apartment also offers an independent air conditioning / heating system, three full HD satellite TVs, access to Sky, an USB compatible stereo system, mp3 ... and all in the heart of the Eternal City.

The apartment is located in the historic center of Rome, few steps away from the famous Campo de' Fiori square, where a traditional and colorful market takes place on a daily basis, selling some of Italy's best products.

The apartment is connected by public transport and located in a short walking-distance from Piazza Navona and from other's main sightseeing spots (approximately 15/20 walking-distance from San Pietro and the Colosseum).

WARNING - HOST VIOLATES ITALIAN HEALTH LAWS: The hot water boiler was not working the afternoon when we checked in. We were not informed of this at check-in and did not discover it ourselves until the next morning when we attempted to use the shower. We immediately went to the property manager’s office and informed her that we were moving out, and the reason why. She told us the repair request had already been submitted (she already knew of the broken boiler). We did not want to continue our stay while waiting for the repair, which could have taken a very long time. We booked rooms at a hotel close-by for the rest of our stay. We requested from the host only a one-day refund of our three-day charge. After two weeks without any reply, we reminded the host that allowing a renter to occupy a property with no heat or hot water is against Italian law, especially in winter. We then informed the host that we were reporting the violation to the Azienda Sanitaria Locale (ASL) in Rome. The host replied by saying they receive regular "appalling reviews" and were not concerned about receiving such reviews from "keyboard warriors" such as us. NOTE: We feel VRBO should delete this host's listings, they operate their properties in an unsanitary, and potentially dangerous, manner.

Our hosts were very helpful! The location was very good. Some of the streets coming to the property could use more lighting, but the owners probably can’t control this. The apartment was a good size. There are some mold spots in one bathroom that could use some work. Overall a good stay in Rome!

Very nice stay. Place was clean and had every thing we needed. Check in was easy and Carla was great. We would definitely say here again when we get a chance to come back to Rome. The area is very walkable and has many shops and restaurant close.

You will not find a better location to stay in Rome! Within walking distance of basically everything you would want to see/do! This apartment was just as pictured. Plenty of space for 4 adults and one child. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location . Great communication with agency and owner. However, Online pictures don’t reflect the lack of lighting in apartment, the fact that the apartment entrance opens into a bedroom and that it is a bit run down ( bedroom furniture in private room , connecting door doesn’t close unless you put something against it) . Just not what I expected.

The check-in was smooth and easy, and the various kitchen appliances made cooking simple. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and cutlery. Great location, many famous landmarks and sites are easily accesible. Eleonora was easy to reach and answered any questions we had in a timely manner; gave us many tips and recommendations about what to see/visit. Overall, great place to stay while visiting Rome.

The location is excellent! Mere steps from Campo dei Fiori but very quiet. Location is central to all primary sights in the city. Interior of apartment was as advertised, and check in process was smooth. Do not forget some cash euros for the local tax on departure.

Host never showed up to handle the keys. Very poor communication. Host called me once and starts to screaming with me, very crazy lady, I've used Air Bnb for several years and never had a single problem and all hosts always welcome us in person, but not for this property, the worst experience. Also when I relate the problems to her she asked me " why didn't you leave the moment you find out all these problems ? ". And I ask my self where to go without a reservation ? Host didn't want to help with anything. keep asking over and over by Whats'app everything we've already spoken on Expedia messages for months. Elevator from the property locked my luggage's inside because no person can go inside that's how small it is so I put 2 luggage's and locked and then host told me to wait till 8 in the morning, I was arriving in the property 1am . A/C from living room drips all day, you have to put a bucket under it. Master Bathroom couldn't use because of the strong pee smell it had, we had to keep it closed. Mattress from the sofa bed was about 1 and half inch, very thin that my kids couldn't sleep there ( sad ). All the wood floor where you walk is loose and and you walk you trip on them and hurt your toes, my kids hurt them selves innumerous times. Other then that location is good but there's lots of others properties around that location with host that will welcome whatever time you arrive. Hope this can save future guest not to go through a night mare.

Perfect place for our family

The apartment was great for my family and Erik was there to meet us when we arrived and was very responsive. A huge master bedroom with private bath for us and a second bedroom with private bath for my kids. The kitchen was a bonus so we could have breakfast and coffee each morning before setting out to explore. The train station was an easy walk to connect us with the beautiful area of Cinque Terre. Would definately stay here again. Thank you Erik!

Good space and location

Overall, the property was good. However, the bathroom in the main bedroom was more like a half bath, the shower was very small and it was easier to use the larger bathroom for showers. Overall, we had a great stay, it fit all 6 of us, but probably more comfortable for 4 people. Having laundry was a great help, but it is a washer dryer combo, which took some time to figure out and be prepared for long dry times (make sure you don't overstuff the machine). The biggest selling point was the location; we got everywhere we needed to be within 20 minutes max and there were so many good food spots just down the street. Would recommend.

Excellent location!

We had a good overall stay and loved the close location to Campo de’ Fiori. We walked many places around Rome and enjoyed being so close to the market, shops, and restaurants. Overall, the property was good. However, the bathroom in the main bedroom was more like a half bath, despite it having a shower. The shower was very small and it was easier to use the larger bathroom for showers. Overall, we had a great stay and the property was unique.

Centrally located

We really enjoyed our stay at the Campo de Fiori apartment. Emanuel was very helpful in getting us there from the airport (and back). He let us know when there was an interesting site to see, and helped us transport our luggage all the way to the door of the the building. The check-in was easy. The apartment is fully furnished (there were 5 of us), and we didn't miss out on anything. Our host, Massimiliano, was quick to answer when we had a question. The apartment is ideally located near every major tourist attraction that we wished to visit. Every site is accessible by foot, which is great! The Campo dei Fiori market was 1 minute away. It was perfect for us. Thanks Massimiliano for a wonderful week!

Rustic Family Friendly

The property is styled in the classic rustic appearance that one might expect from an older home in Italy. That being said, it could use a little updating and TLC, but this is an honest home and great value for its location and walking distance from several things that you would want to see and experience. Owners/Property Managers are very responsive and have great communication with a reasonable response time. Again, could use some updating and some TLC, but this home is what it says it is and looks like in the pictures and a great value for what it is. Would recommend without any hesitations…

Unique Stay

The apartment is in an excellent location and has a lot of character, featuring wooden beam ceilings, stained glass and a private terrace. Our host was easy to communicate with and arranged for a driver/transportation service for travel to and from the airport and train station. Our driver was excellent and even helped us on a day when there was a taxi/metro/bus strike.
