Excellent apartment for our stay in Rome
Check-in was a breeze. We arrived and texted Paulo who waited for us to finish our snack and beverages at one of the restaurants near the building door. He very nicely carried two of our large bags up the stairs. Those stairs are fairly steep but well-worth the climb once you see the rooftop terrace. There are two outside terraces but our favorite was the one on the rooftop. Great views and lined with beautiful flowering plants.
The neighborhood is great. Rome is a very noisy city and crowded with people. Trastevere is not as full of tourists as other areas of Rome. Anywhere you stay will have a certain level of noise. This apartment is no exception but much quieter than most.
The owners were very quick to reply to any messages. The apartment was nicely furnished. They also arranged a ride for us back to the airport. I wish we had used them to schedule our ride to the apartment on our arrival. We are seasoned travelers and usually just take public transportation. I cannot recommend Rome public transport! We used trains, trams, and buses. All were packed and we had to fend off a group of pick pockets on the train targeting new arrivals from the airport. Ride was reasonable at only 50 Euros plus our tip.
I would stay at this apartment if visiting Rome again. It’s in a great neighborhood, close to all major monuments and attractions, and a nice size. The outdoor terraces are an added plus. Paulo was easy to work with and the apartment as perfect for our needs. Thank you for sharing your holiday home with us!
