The private back deck is an excellent place for admiring the adjacent forest and creek - grab a book off the shelf and bask in tranquility while you read. For some family fun time, there's an array of board games to choose from for some friendly competition, or you can stream a movie in the comfy living area.

When you want to relax at the end of a day of outdoor excursions, soak in the main bathroom's jetted tub before turning in for the night.

Disappointing

We were happy with the layout and most of the accommodations, but there was a fundamental problem which was the master bedroom bed was broken. My friend went to get into bed the first night and the support beams on the bed collapsed. After taking off the mattress from the bed to sleep on the floor, they noticed the bed had been already broken and re-assembled several times based on the way the screws were and the extra support board that was attached. We contacted vacasa, who stated they needed approval from the owner to get a new bed in there, and after our 4 day stay (3 nights) there was no remediation or reimbursement provided. Other minor issues included no kitchen towels upon arrival, a leaky kitchen sink faucet, and sharp plastic shards in the living room and bedroom carpets. We would have been very happy had it not been for the bed mishap and getting mixed messages about whether it was going to be fixed or not during our stay. Hence, the mixed rating.

Unfortunately, our stay at this house was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority. There were spiders everywhere, including inside the house, which made it very uncomfortable. We found food residue left on plates, the sheets were dirty, and the TV didn’t work at all. The outdoor area wasn’t any better the grass was completely overgrown and looked like it hadn’t been touched in weeks. The deck was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Overall, the place felt neglected and unhygienic. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless some serious cleaning and upkeep are done.

Nice location

We love the Rockaway beach area and this home is close enough to walk to a very nice part of the beach. It seems like a newer VRBO and has great potential. There was a broken toaster and the bed broke, both of which I noticed in another review. The place was clean, but lacking in furniture. We used tray tables for a bedside table and a place to put our luggage. You will need to buy your own ice as the refrigerator has no trays. I think a little investment by the owner could make this a terrific option in the future.
