After debating between many Tuscan vineyards/B&Bs to stay at, I am so glad we picked this one. The venue was beautiful, the room was nice and clean (with AC), and they had a gorgeous remote pool overlooking the vineyard. The people working were all incredibly kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, in addition to the owner. We enjoyed a wine tour/tasting and a cooking class, and had dinner at their restaurant that was one of our best meals in Italy. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Seriously cannot overstate how relaxing and beautiful this place is, will be recommending to friends and family and hopefully returning soon ourselves!

L’accès à la piscine ôtait un peu loin a pied et la Clim ne fonctionnait pas bien. Sinon dans l’ensemble notre séjour était super magnifique endroit 👍

Ich hatte einen rundum wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den liebevollen und aufmerksamen Service – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an herzlich willkommen. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft und die gesamte Umgebung strahlt eine angenehme Ruhe aus, in der man wirklich abschalten und zu sich selbst finden kann. Die Lage in den Weinbergen bzw. dieser wunderschönen Region macht den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Für Ruhesuchende ist dieses Hotel absolut perfekt geeignet. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt und freue mich jetzt schon darauf, irgendwann wiederzukommen.

Stor anbefaling med fabelagtig udsigt

Kæmpe anbefaling, helt fantastisk udsigt. Generelt stille behageligt sted, så hvis man trænger til et par dage med fabelagtig udsigt og stille omgivelser, er det stedET. Virkelig lækker mad på stedet, kan især anbefale pastaen med pesto! Dog er poolen en lille gåtur fra nogle af værelserne, men meget stille område. Generelt stor anbefaling herfra ♥️

Das Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert

Sehr schönes Hotel mit großen Zimmern. Sehr freundlicher Empfang von der Manuela. Sehr gutes Abendessen und Frühstück. Auch die Weine aus der eigenen Weinkellerei sind sehr empfehlenswert. Von dem Hotel und den Zimmern hat man einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die Toskana

Beautiful property and breathtaking views, but the overall service was disappointing and not what I would expect given the rate we paid per night. 1) Basic amenities were repeatedly missing. Hand soap and body lotion were not provided at check-in. Despite requesting body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and lotion multiple times from different staff, they were not replenished. One evening at 10pm, there was still no body wash for three guests. 2) Wi-Fi did not work. We were given 2–3 different network names but could never connect from our room. I had to rely on roaming data and my personal hotspot. Despite raising the issue, nobody resolved it or followed up. 3) Pool cleanliness was disappointing. There were numerous dead insects on the pool floor. While some natural foliage is understandable, the condition of the pool meant we chose not to use it. 4) Breakfast raised a hygiene concern. The fresh fruit did not appear to have been washed. With a toddler, we had to ask staff before giving him any fruit. This should not be a concern at a hotel of this standard. 5) Most disappointing was the lack of follow-up. I raised the toiletries and Wi-Fi issues during our stay, including via the hotel’s messaging system, but received no response. The staff we interacted with were generally pleasant, and two restaurant staff members kindly helped with the missing toiletries. The service and attention to detail did not justify the price paid.

We absolutely loved our stay at Valdonica. The views are breathtaking, the pool area is extraordinary, the restaurant serves the best food we’ve has in Italy so far. The breakfast was delicious and it was amazing ro sit on the patio and enjoying the view! Manuela made sure we had everything we need and took extra good care of us. We also really enjoyed the wine tour and tasting with Lorenzo. What an amazing stay at Valdonica, couldn’t want anything more to celebrate pur 20th anniversary. Highly recommend the residence and the restaurant!

Et fantastisk basseng som går i ett med naturen, med utsikt over landskapet. Veldig zen. Hagen ved pizzavogna også et deilig sted å sitte. En liten gåtur fra hovedbygningen for å komme dit, men helt greit. Deilig rom med dyne! Veldig hyggelige alle som jobbet der. Kommer gjerne igjen.

Welcoming was magnificent, as the view where we taken to admire, whit the welcoming rose vine. Unforgettable! Only after that we where signed in. So nice and easy. Staff was nice and helpfull, everything was clean. Tasting dinner with the owner remains in our mind very long time. The place is amazing, go there!

Valdonica is located in the most spectacular nature, overviewing the vineyards, mountains and you can even see the sea. When we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly staff, asking us, if we would like to sit and relax with a glass of wine. We also joined their wine tasting. We had a very pleasant stay, and would love to get back.

Valdonica Winery is stunning! The views from our bedroom balcony were astounding, facing all the way down the vineyards, to the sea in the distance. The restaurant is run by Chef Marco, who has curated a wonderful 4 course tasting meal. Each of the dishes can be accompanied by one of Valdonica’s own wines. Manuela at reception was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She recommended a fantastic restaurant in the nearby town, called Da Nada, and made sure we had wine to celebrate, following my proposal to my now Fiancée! On the Saturday of our stay, we joined the degustation, which was led by the owner of the Winery himself. It we a true joy to hear the passion and vision he has for wine making, and really added to the experience. The pool is a 5 minute walk from the main building, located next to the cantina, and has some incredible views of the winery. The only reason I couldn’t give this 5 stars, is because the AC really didn’t work and the building itself seems to absorb heat overnight.

Simply stunning

A stunning property. This was our favourite stay over a 4 week holiday and is a place to truly relax. We weren’t sure at time of booking if it was too far off the beaten track but booked it for the promise of a view, and it certainly did not disappoint. The view from the pool and breakfast area is truly spectacular, and whilst the location is away from the main tourist sites, it’s very peaceful and still well within reach of Siena, San Gimignano etc for a daytrip by car. Real care has been taken with the fit-out of the accommodation and there are some lovely, thoughtful touches such as complimentary filtered water, coffee machine and fruit in the common area. Breakfast is generous and tasty. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the owner is a gracious and welcoming host. We had an issue with the room on arrival and the communication in response to our questions prior to arrival was a little lacking, but every effort was made to rectify this and ensure we had a wonderful stay. We were also grateful for some excellent recommendations of sites and restaurants in the area. Very highly recommended.
