"Delightful. The hostess goes out of her way to assist walkers. Little things, like putting transferred luggage into guests’ rooms, mean such a lot at the end of a long day’s walking. Delicious scones on arrival and very nice breakfast. Lots of tips for the West Highland Way."

"Excellent hostel! I stayed in the Court - I’m a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I woke often as people were coming and going at all hours of the night. Disturbances would likely be less in the other rooms. The facilities, social aspect of the hostel and the staff were top notch! They have activities each day to connect you with others. As a solo traveller, it was incredible and more reason to stay in a hostel. Price was great for Edinburgh and the location cannot be beat!"

"Staff were welcoming and helping us to locate a laundromat. We couldn't check in early unless we paid a fee so we went off for an hour. Room comfortable although with Premier Inn there's a sense of not all Premier inns are maintained the same. Walls scuffed, carpet looks scuffy and worn. The cleaner came barging in at 9am our room had been ticked off already as we have left. We hadn't. Much apologies, showing the board to where it supposedly we had checked out."

"From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty in the stunning castle. Our bags were immediately taken to our room in the tower, reservations for dinners, suggestions for hikes and exploring and help with arrangements for our departure in a couple days. Breakfasts were phenomenal and top notch. Breakfast was delivered to our room on the day of departure at 4:30am and our bags taken back down to our rental car. The spa experience was exceptional.
