At least one guest must be 25 years of age.

Kitchen with granite counters & granite serving bar with seating for 4; GE glass top range & Bosch dishwasher. WI-FI included. Bathroom features granite vanity and tub/shower. Great entertainment watching on large flat screen smart TV. Electric fireplace. Sleeps 2 with a comfy queen size pillow top mattress. An expansive sofa faces the extraordinary view of lake and swimming beach. Your outdoor enjoyment on the wrap-around deck is perfect for relaxation. Relax in our outdoor chairs watching the action (and abundant wildlife) on and around Smith Mountain Lake, with the occasional seaplane landing in the cove and the magical loons, if you are so lucky! Great location for wine festival or a very special weekend getaway with a highly acclaimed fine dining restaurant within walking distance. Bernard's offers 2 outdoor pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, racketball court, foosball, exercise room with TV and spring water pool, hot tub, clubhouse and exercise room; docks for boating (Your boat may be launched and docked for a $20 per day fee and registration with Bernard's Landing DIRECTLY. The owner was very helpful ahead of booking, and in preparation of our arrival. The property was in a great location allowing us to easily put in our kayaks, and ride our bikes around the community. Great property if you’re looking for peace and quiet.

A Long Stay Cut Short

We rented this unit for almost a month but had to leave after only a few days. The unit had a damp musty smell that we tried unsuccessfully to get rid of. When we returned from a business trip, in addition to still be damp & musty, we found dead bugs by the doors and on the floors. We sacrificed several hundred dollars for an unacceptable unit. Don't let this happen to you!

Quiet and relaxing

The condo was clean and comfortable. We went during the off-season so the community and the lake were very quiet. Great location and a beautiful view. Exactly what we were looking for to start out our retirement. Jim is a wonderful host. Great communication and quick response to queries.

Great view. Great Price. Great walking right out back door. Lots to do in area, Don't miss the Smith Mountain Lake Alpaca Farm. Smith Mountain Lake State Park and Booker T Washington National Historic Site are also nearby. Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest near Lynchburg, Mill Mountain Park Near Roanoke and Smith Mountain Lake Dam are all less than an hour away.

Great stat

Ideally would like to see more amenities but overall it was a great stay. No laundry detergent and only 2 towels. Staying on the lake, it would be nice to have extra towels. Also, it would’ve been nice to have shampoo.

Awesome location

Very beautiful condo and location. Excellent fishing spot and the views were amazing! Jim was very knowledgeable about our needs and had all the information provided for us before we arrived. Only suggestion I would give is to make the kitchen cabinets more accessible for the cookware. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Steve and Ellen Smith Mountain Lake stay at Bernard Landing

The community was very nice with lots of amenities. Jim’s unit has a beautiful view of the lake and grounds. A short walk to the beach and a very clean well maintained condo overall. Jim was a pleasure to do business with and a very attentive host. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location.

We really enjoyed our stay at SML. Neither of us had been before and the views are gorgeous. It’s a quiet location, perfect for some water activities and relaxation. A few nice wineries around within a 30 minute drive. The host was very responsive to any questions we had prior to our arrival

From making the initial reservation to checking out, we experienced a very smooth process. Owner was very communicative and responded promptly to my questions. The property has a lovely view of the lake from the indoor and outdoor living areas. Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
