  • On a hilly natural plot overlooking the fjord, this distinctive cabin almost blends in with the surrounding landscape. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity as the stripes of light from the lighthouse sweep across the plot at dusk.



    The cabin is designed with an exciting asymmetrical shape that creates dynamic spaces both inside and out. The well-thought-out floor plan provides a natural flow between the living areas, where large windows let in both light and nature.



    The property offers several natural potholes that form unique spaces in the sprawling landscape. Here you can create your own private oasis with several inviting outdoor spaces for both relaxation and socializing.



    The cabin is a short distance from idyllic Lyngør and the charming southern villages of Risør and Tvedestrand. For nature experiences, you can take a kayak trip out into the archipelago, take a walk to Vestlia Panorama, or head to Ytre Nipekilen. In the summer, Sørlandet Camping with its swimming pool is close by.

An absolutely stunning, stylish house situated in ...

An absolutely stunning, stylish house situated in the most beautiful surroundings, enveloped by the magical Norwegian nature. It is an architectural gem that exudes style and personality. The house is located in a completely secluded setting. It has everything you could possibly need. A lovely spot for a swim is just a 5-minute walk away. We recommend renting a boat to explore the area from the water. It’s much easier to visit the surrounding towns by boat than by car.

We had a wonderful week at Bo’s amazing house! The house’s location right by the water and the entire surrounding area were fantastic! We were able to go hiking, kayaking, and enjoy the peace and quiet at the house! The house is very well-equipped—especially the kitchen, which had everything we could possibly need! Communicating with Bo was also a pleasure! We would highly recommend this place and would love to come back someday!

One of the things that made the biggest impression...

One of the things that made the biggest impression was the tranquility that the house exudes. In fact, the word “tranquility” hardly does justice to the feeling that washes over you the moment you park the car and walk the last stretch down toward the house. Your shoulders relax all on their own. We’d actually planned a lot of excursions, but they never happened. Instead, we spent hours on the terrace enjoying the beautiful view of the fjord, and it turned out to be the best vacation we could have hoped for. A couple of tips for future guests: Keep an eye on Skalldyr Risør’s Facebook page to see when the boat arrives in port. There, you can buy freshly caught crayfish straight from the boat while they’re still piping hot—an experience I highly recommend. Also, do yourself a favor and visit Restaurant Hilda Larsen on Borøya. The Flammkuchen with scallops is absolutely fantastic, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. And if the sun is shining, be sure to reserve a table well in advance—you won’t be the only ones who’ve had that idea.
