Lookout Lair is a hidden gem in the middle of the woods that boasts a creek on the property, vaulted ceilings, and quality furnishings.

The interior is bright and airy. The decor mimics the natural surroundings. And the spacious layout allows all your guests to enjoy quality time throughout the home. Gather in the living room for a movie night. On chilly nights, stay warm with the help of the fireplace. The well-equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances and plenty of gadgets for whipping up delicious meals. Dine together at the table fit for four. The table is also perfect for board games and puzzles.

The outdoor space is just as charming as the interior. Lounge on the deck with a good book and favorite beverage and let the time pass by. Under a starry sky, collect firewood for the firepit and gather around the warmth of the fire.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We found our stay to be a delightful surprise. Were not sure how the owners pulled off this vintage rental but they did it. Everything felt clean and curated. We especially appreciated the owners’ explanation of the taxidermy, which we found charming before the explanation even though we are vegan. Beds and lounging furniture were comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Loved the gas fireplace. Technology was reliable. Loved the gate on the back deck to keep the dog in. The carport was perfect. Well done. Can’t wait until we can come back.

Instructions to enter the house were outdated. Binder in the housebstated they had a "house sign in" for streaming services but it did not work. House was great, beds comfortable, and everyone was clean. Super happy with stay.

Best hideaway ever!

Loved everything about our stay in this unique mountain cabin! The sound of the creek, the whispering of the leaves in the trees and exploring near Mr Hood were exactly what we needed.

Even better than expected!

Charming cabin in the woods, with the sound of a nearby creek. Fun, maximilaist decor that included beautiful Pendleton blankets, pillows and unique pieces of art. The kitchen had everything you need. Wonderful stay!

Great Place Near Mt Hood

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, quiet place tucked back in the trees. Nicely decorated, very well equipped, and very dog friendly. It is conveniently located, with easy access to hiking trails and restaurants. Hope to stay again!

Lookout Lair

Great stay! Everything was clean and so homey. We enjoyed every aspect of our vacation. Quick trip to Timberline lodge for sledding and lunch, then back to the cabin for puzzles, dinner and movies. So fun.

Wonder cabin

Beautiful cabin with every convenience you can think of, plus much artwork and interesting photos. The only real negative is the horrible one lane pot holed gravel roads leading to the cabin.

Hiking weekend

Liked the house and location overall, but wished the living room had more comfortable furniture and for that reason we won’t stay here again. Beds were very comfortable but pillows were heavy and thick. Nice deck out back, lovely woodsy neighborhood, pretty quiet. Easy access to area recreation.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Lookout Lair. The online description of this rental is so accurate that I would just be repeating what was written. Very clean, nicely decorated and all furnishings are in excellent condition. Bed was very comfortable and great pillows. The location is excellent. Don't hesitate to book!

We loved lookout lair

Staying with our dogs at lookout lair was perfect for a long weekend. The house is well stocked and in an excellent location. The view from the deck was amazing and it was so pleasant to listen to the rain. Highly recommend this cabin!
