As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....

"The staff were lovelylovely powerless. Ibdid not have heating in my building. The staff could not help with the non existent heating, provide a heater or alternative room. However I was refunded, but this did not compensate the inconvenience caused.on my second night I didn't sleep because there were very noisy drunk German students having a party until 3AM. I was forced to find alternative accommodation for my third night as the staff informed me that she couldn't guarantee it would be quiet...
"What a lovely place to stay! Located in a lovely area with views of the sea this place is great to stay for a little weekend in Brighton. Check in was really easy and the room was perfect! Breakfast included was a huge bonus. Staff are really helpful and friendly especially the young lady on reception, Can't remember her name but she was a star a real highlight to the place. Will definitely be staying here again!"
"Lovely hotel in a good position on the outskirts of Eastbourne , walking distance from the lovely village of Mead. Where there are shops and two pub/ restaurants.

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the bed was very big and comfortable, the service was great and the staff very sweet and friendly. Our room had a beautiful sea view, definitely worth the extra pennies. It’s a bit of a shame that the road just below is quite busy and noisy throughout the day. Nevertheless, it was great to be so close to the sea, we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way."
