The Space:

Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, Mahali House offers sweeping views towards the Great Dividing Range, multiple outdoor entertaining areas and a fire pit for evenings beneath the stars.

From leisurely summer lunches on the patio to cosy winter nights by the log fire, it's a place to settle in, enjoy good company and make lasting memories.



Guest Access:

Your House is located near the main entrance on Esk Hampton Road to the left of the Accommodation Map. An electonic Keylock is situated at the front door.

Guests have private access to Mahali House, including the home, gardens, decks and outdoor areas for the duration of their stay.

The house has long distance views overlooking the Brisbane valley and National Parks.

Ravensbourne Escape boasts 46 Acres of residential grounds with great views so feel free to walk around, use the free public tennis courts nearby or simply enjoy the location and its ambience. Make the place your own.

Mahali House is set in the heart of Ravensbourne, in Queensland’s stunning High Country. This thriving region draws visitors from across the state, known for its rolling hills, lush landscapes, and fertile farmland. Bursting with local produce, beautiful scenery and artisanal delights, Mahali House is the perfect base to explore everything this remarkable area has to offer.

For those getting married, Ravensbourne’s The Dairy is just a five-minute drive from Mahali House, making it easy to stay close to the celebrations.

Food lovers are well looked after here too. The Dairy also boasts its own café and bakehouse, serving fresh pastries, great coffee and weekend cocktails with idyllic views across the mountain range. Nearby, Brisbane Valley Roasters sits right on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and roasts its own signature blends, while Myrtille in Crows Nest is perfect for a special meal, serving seasonal, hyper-local food. And don’t forget to stop by My Little Blueberry next door for a box of handmade French pastries to take home!

If you’re after something a little stronger, explore the region’s distilleries, country pubs and wineries for a well-earned tipple.

Getting Around:

You will arrive by car as there is no public transport to this area and Ubers and taxis in the country are rare.. Towns of Hampton, Crows Nest, Esk and Crow's Nest with shops/supermarkets are within 20 - 25 minutes easy drive, with Toowoomba 40 minutes away.



Interaction with Guests:

Mahali House offers self-check-in and check-out, so you can enjoy as much privacy as you wish during your stay.

The site manager, Rob, lives nearby and is available if you need anything — just give him a call. He’s always happy to answer questions or help with anything that comes up.

The friendly owners live in a separate cottage on the spacious 5-acre property with their young family. Mahali House is completely private and self-contained, with total respect for your space, but you may occasionally spot them out and about — along with their cat, chickens or small toddler exploring the countryside!
