  • A quaint, clean, updated, 1940s era bungalow-style cabin. Excellent location to call home base for all of your Black Hills adventures. From the Badlands to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, Custer State Park to Sturgis, you can see everything within a 30-45 minute drive. Two-minute walk to Canyon Lake and Rapid Creek where you find fishing, kayaking and paddle boat rentals. Connected to Rapid City’s extensive bike and walking paths that include a nature trail, dog park and canyon lake park. Ten-minute drive to downtown Rapid City. Located in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood, with a fenced back yard. Dog friendly for small fee of $10 per dog. Sleeps 4 adults comfortably, loft available for 1 additional person.

This cabin was perfect for us! Warm and cozy, very clean and ready for us to step in and enjoy. I had read about the fishing, so I brought along my fly rod, and was very pleasantly surprised to find the location is walking distance to a nice trout creek and a lake! If spring break was two weeks, we would have stayed longer! We’ll return someday, hopefully sooner than later. Oh, almost forgot to mention, it’s doggy friendly and has a fenced yard! It was great.

This was a wonderful place to land after a long drive. The location was perfect. Easy check-in and check out. Having a fenced backyard was a plus. We had all we needed for a comfortable cozy stay and would definitely stay again if we are ever back to the area. Loved it!

Beautifully clean cabin. We enjoyed great weather while visiting so were able to enjoy the outdoor furniture and our dogs loved the fenced in yard. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very comfortable and well equipped. I would definitely recommend and stay again. The neighborhood was perfect for walking around with the dogs.

Beautiful location that worked great for our stay in Rapid City. The weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy walking around the trails and ride bike around the city. Back yard was perfect for the two dogs. Interior of the cabin was clean and comfortable.

Host was excellent responding to any questions we had. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Our two dogs loved having a fenced in yard and we loved the covered patio and grill. Location was great, we had dear around us daily and the lake, creek and park were all within walking distance and beautiful!

Quaint cottage within easy driving distance to National Parks, Monuments, and State parks We had blast. Great places to hike with dogs at nearby nature trail and park. Would definitely stay again.

Can't say enough about positive things about this stay, As someone needing a place that accommodates a pair of dogs, I couldn't have asked for more. An easily accessible yard coupled with a rustic cabin that is both comfy and pet friendly is not an easy find. We had another couple stay with us and we all appreciated the surroundings (beautiful neighborhood surrounded by parks great for both people and dog walking) and easy access to both the Black Hills and and the conveniences of Rapid City. It was particularly nice to not have to drive across Rapid City to access the Black Hills attractions. The cabin was clean, right sized for two couples, and had all the accommodations a traveler, visitor, or tourist could ask for. As someone who finds it hard to relax while away from home, I slept well and quickly felt at home. I contacted Chad and Tara multiple times for clarification about the property, personal requests, and answers about things I simply didn't understand as an infrequent vacationer. They were always very responsive, informative, and kind. I could not have asked for better hosts. If I visit the area again, this property will be on the top of my list for places to stay. 10/10.

It was an amazing stay the little cabin was everything. It was in a great location for all the attractions that we wanted to see. It worked perfectly for the three of us. The cabin had everything that you need dor your stay! Great place to stay!
