Weekend getaway

Very homey setting, beautiful views, and when lost they were just a phone call away! Highly recommend to others to visit! Thank you for having a spot for us to enjoy for our weekend getaway🌟🙌 we hope to come again

Very quiet spot, in spite of being close enough to walk into town. We didn’t use the car at all! We loved the ducks, the sounds of the loon, the deer in the backyard and the beautiful sunrises. Hosts were very responsive to any questions. This was our 2nd anniversary stay at the cottage and we will definitely return!

The View

Good camp located at the end of the street, a five minute walk to downtown. The view of Haley Pond was magnificent. Well stocked kitchen. Quiet. Clean. Good handwritten directions. A sloping floor, electrical outlets, and no canoe kept this from being a five. I would stay there again.

Beautiful spot on the water!

We had a wonderful time in spite of gray skies and rain. The cabin was cozy and we loved hearing the ducks in the morning and the loon in the evening. Even had a family of deer with 2 fawns in the yard eating apples. Being right on the water was great for relaxing and enjoying the quiet which was what I needed! Walked into town in between rain showers, ate a lot of good food and ice cream! Would definitely come back again!

Private Escape

I highly recommend this cabin as a private getaway. The weather was not on our side but we had the home to retreat to when Mother Nature wasn't kind. The things I appreciated the most was that we could bring our dog (it's wrong to vacation without the entire family), the awesomeness of the Morton & Furbish team from start to finish, and the privacy of this little nook on Haley Pond. The beds were very comfortable, linens clean, and many amenities you might not expect. Thank you!

Almost perfect….

The ad made it seem very private, which it wasn’t- it was a community, albeit a quaint and semi-private, friendly one. You really didn’t see or seem to bother or be bothered by neighbors despite their close proximity. Grounds were great, dock was strong, kayaks on hand made fishing a breeze! The fire pit was well-loved too. But the beautiful grounds could use a net with badminton set or a cornhole set for downtime too. It was a missed opportunity that other locations offer. The cabin was fairly clean but I found it unnerving that it’s a pet friendly spot with wall-to-wall carpets! I’m sure they aren’t shampooing them between every guest (or ever?) and they are not new, I’ll leave it at that. It seems extremely unhygienic. Though the cabin overall looked clean on the surface, if you looked further it really wasn’t and all the finishes are needing upgrades for this price point. Whilst cleaning one of the bedrooms upon checking out, my son joked that he left it cleaner than it was upon arrival. Basically they surface clean, no attention to details. We ultimately feel we overpaid for what we got, but we booked late in the season. The company was extremely easy to deal with, sent many emails and texts to explain processes, and such. We were grateful to stay here and truly enjoyed the property overall; but unless it gets freshened up and upgraded to be worth the price it’s currently at, we would stay somewhere else for the same price to get what we were expecting.

This is a beautiful location, quiet, and peaceful. Im sorry to say we left early as we were all to hot and it was so uncomfortable in the beds we slept on the furniture which felt a bit better but not restful. There is NO A/C and it gets 100 degrees during the day, still hot at night also, its hotter inside than out and half the livingroom windows dont open. They have given a few fans but they do not work for how large this house is. One is broken and keeps going to the floor and dont stand well. The owner is using the burrow and has things everywhere in this camp which was not helpful to us having room for our things and it felt wierd. The carpeting is grose and smells like urine in the kids room when its shut up. The dog station is cute but disgusting and so unsanitary on the carpeting. Can't fish or swim here to many ducks and its a bog really on this end. Duck poop all over the dock and they really are the owners of this lot. I was afraid of swimmers itch. Kayaking was great here because no boats are aloud and you can't store your boat or trailer. I loved that the place has everything you need for cooking, even propane. The shower needs a better curtain that was ridiculous. Get cloth with magnets and wash them. Beds smelled clean and fresh. The porches are slippery from not being cleaned and you will fall we all did, also dogs feet go right through the large grates.. and our dog got hurt on her paw. We wont go back unless all these things are addressed. Great wifi and TV!
