Getting Around:
Taxi is a cost-effective way to travel locally. "Uber" which is very cost-effective and efficient means of travel is in our own experience very positive! Buses leave from the centre of Queenstown to all surrounding areas very regularly, they are also very cheap.
The lake also has a water taxi pick up/drop off service point from the Rees hotel jetty (just down the track) which makes multiple trips by water daily. These can go to Queenstown, Steamer Wharf, The Hilton, Frankton Marina, Kelvin Heights Golf Course, and Kelvin Track specif details can be found by searching online.
Other Things to Note:
It’s a 3–8-minute ride into central Queenstown by car and there are frequent public buses from the main road which cost $2 per person. Bus to QT, Arrowtown, Frankton, Arthur's Point and The Remarkable ski field, these picks-up from the main road
Alternatively, a taxi is a cost-effective way to travel locally. "Uber" is also available in Queenstown; our own experience is very positive!
Interaction with Guests:
When we travel sometimes we want to be social, sometimes we do not. Similarly, sometimes we want advice and sometimes we like to discover things ourselves. With this in mind, we like to make arrangements with each guest to ascertain needs or desires. We will likely arrange to greet you on the first day of your arrival, this is to ensure you have everything you need and understand how things work in the house. We will answer any questions you may have and when we know a little more about your visit, likes, and dislikes, offer some friendly tips and ideas for your stay!
