Winter Get Away

Had a fantastic time and throughly enjoyed our stay. You have a beautiful property and an amazing view. Originally we were booked into one of the ocean front cottages but they are pretty small. Fortunately the time of year was not busy and we were able to change our booking to a suite. If the online description and pictures were better, I would never have booked something so small.

Beautiful ocean front getaway, but ad is for studio not one bedroom

We rented the beachfront cottage, and we were shocked when we arrived and discovered it was a tiny studio with a big bed, a tiny kitchenette, and two small chairs tucked at a table by the window. The ad listed it as a one bedroom, so we were expecting a door and a little living room. But the staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating. They agreed to move us to a two bedroom unit that was available. Once we moved, our stay was perfect. The suite was lovely and very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Hosts were kind and the beach was right there and gorgeous. Perfect getaway.

Cozy, quiet and relaxing!

Exactly what I was looking for! So peaceful! The property is well looked after and Carolyn was awesome checking in to make sure I was enjoying my time. Loved the little porch and enjoyed my porch neighbours. I had a great time! Thanks Carolyn!

Amazing stay

This place is a hidden gem. The room we got was literally steps away from the beach and we woke up to the sun rising over the ocean 🤷. Was the perfect weekend getaway. Make sure you inquire about the other suites available as there are bigger suites available! Thanks again Carolyn!

Relaxing

Very pretty place. Would stay there again but in a different suite. It was lovely but kitchen and bathroom was way too cramped . Also shared deck was uncomfortable sitting two feet apart with neighbours during COVID. We had a lovely stay tho, and would definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous

The room was clean but very small ..you could hardly turn around in washroom or walk around the bed. The bed frame was broken as was the toilet at times. The decor and view made up for shortfalls though.

Amazing!

This was the most amazing little cottage by the ocean. We woke up every morning listening to the ocean, sea gulls and seals. So beautiful and peaceful. Thank you Carolyn for being such a gracious hostess. We will be back!

Cozy for sure😉

Qualicum Breeze is a lovely little resort and would be amazing for groups wanting to rent all 7 suites. The room we rented was a tad bit small for true comfort but the view was stellar. They are handling all the new covid-19 rules really well. It was hard to get a good or fair judgement of the surrounding restaurants and amenities in these strange times but we greatly appreciate all of Bowser and Qualicum for doing their best to be hospitable.

EVERYTHING I’VE EVER WANTED

This is an absolutely beautiful property. The hot tub over looking the ocean was the key seller for me, the perfect place to have a few drinks and relax! They also aren’t joking when they say it’s a “stones throw from the beach” you open your front door and you’re right on the beach. I cannot recommend this little hidden gem enough. Worth EVERY penny. Sip your wine in the hottub in the evening and your coffee (or Mamosas like us) on the beach in the morning. If you’re like me and had to look threw dozens of property’s before booking one, STOP looking and book at Shady Shores!

Lovely ocean view and beach for nice walks .

Very small and not a cottage it is duplex with shared deck space. Not a great problem as neighbours were fine and quiet. Dishes and utensils not all clean .It is located at Qualicum Bay closer to Bowser.

Shady Shores was a beautiful natural setting with a very relaxed vibe.

Wonderful and peaceful experience, loved watching the tides come in from the deck in front of our unit. This deck was situated directly on the sea wall! We rented the adult only cabin, it was super clean and decorated in a relaxing beach theme. Carolyn was a super helpful but laid back host.

Location!

The deck space in front of the unit was wonderful! I wanted a place on the beach where I could hear the waves, so I was very happy. There were quite a few options of things to do on site. The cottage was small inside, but it felt cozy and view was spectacular.
