Unique, laid-back, surf-friendly stay, tucked away from the condo clusters with a kitchen & workspace with 200+ mbps fast wifi.

Shaka Studio is a bright and modern retreat designed for comfort and ease. With a plush queen-sized bed, a spa-like rain shower, and a fully equipped kitchen, this space has everything you need for a relaxing stay. A spacious desk makes it easy for two to work comfortably, while the private outdoor patio offers a quiet spot to unwind.

Stay cool with air conditioning, catch up on your favorite shows with the smart TV, and enjoy the convenience of being just steps from Stinky’s Beach and the lively Avenida Anclote, lined with cafes and restaurants. Whether you`re here to surf, work remotely, or simply soak up the Punta de Mita vibe, Shaka Studio is the perfect place to settle in.

Steps to Stinky’s surf break, 4 minute walk to Anclote surf break. 2 min walk to Marina for boat hire to Lancha, Faro, Bahia. 7-8 minute drive to Lancha, Burros, Veneros. We also have board rentals on site!

Beaches like Lancha, Burros, Veneros, are 10-15 mins & Sayulita is 25-30 mins by car or bus. You can take a cab or bus from the PVR airport to Punta Mita. Once you’re here, walking or taking the local busses is very easy.

Guests will enjoy a seamless self-check-in experience at Shaka Studio. Upon arrival, you’ll enter through the gated property using a unique access code provided before check-in. The studio has a lockbox, so there’s no need to coordinate key pickup—just enter your code, grab your keys and step into your private retreat.

Parking is available on-site if needed, and detailed instructions will be sent to ensure a smooth arrival. If you have any questions, we’re just a message away!

If you are a surfer or explorer, rent a car and parking on premise is free.

Casa Shaka has a large selection of surfboard rentals to choose from. They are available onsite and we offer either daily or weekly rates. There are three categories of boards to choose from;
1) Foam tops: these boards are perfect for beginners and very easy to catch waves with and very forgiving.
2) High performance board: advisable when the waves are slightly bigger and only for intermediate surfers.
3) Single Fin Longboard: These boards are perfect for all types of waves. Also only for intermediate surfers.

3. Please do not feed our lovely pets or let them inside. While they are adorable, loving, and cuddly, they become quickly accustomed to the behavior and then become sad when they cannot come inside. Also, because they are outside animals in Mexico, they can carry little unwanted critters with them (sad but true!).

4. Enjoy the Simplicity: Embrace the simplicity and laid-back atmosphere of our low-key beach abode. While it may not offer the luxuries of a 5-star resort, it provides a unique and charming experience. Appreciate the beauty of the surroundings, the nearby beach, and the opportunity to unwind in a more intimate setting.

5. Help Us Keep Things Tidy: As this is not a fully staffed hotel, we kindly request that you clean up after yourself during your stay, especially in common spaces. Please bring your trash out every few days to the common receptacles. Otherwise, you can also request an additional room cleaning for $25 USD or $500 pesos, but please keep in mind this may not always be available immediately as we have a light staff.

6. Be Mindful of Energy and Water Usage: We encourage our guests to be conscious of their energy and water consumption. Please turn off lights, fans, and electronic devices when not in use and be mindful of water usage during your stay. Help us preserve the environment and reduce our ecological footprint.

7. Keep Noise Levels Down: We offer a serene and peaceful environment. Please be mindful of your noise levels, especially during quiet hours, to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for everyone. Consider the tranquility of the surroundings and the privacy of neighboring guests.

8. Respect Privacy and Neighbors: Our beach abode is designed to provide privacy and a relaxing atmosphere. Please respect the privacy of other guests and neighbors. Avoid loud gatherings or disturbances that may disrupt their peaceful experience.

Overall, check in was difficult as we needed help from the house keepers to unlock the lock box and access the rental property. The lockboxes were mislabled and not matching with the check in instructions,.
