The condo was as stated in the ad - affordable and well maintained. For those looking to book in the near future, our experience was that the area of Punta Cana, as well as staff and guests of the property, take COVID and masking very seriously. While our trip was the last week of December into the new year, the country was changing some of the COVID curfews and rules throughout the week, and as restaurants were closed to indoor dining, we enjoyed eating take-out on the patio (though were underwhelmed by the dining options) . Our main disappointment was that, as Punta Cana is a major resort town, we were surprised by how long it actually look us to get to the beach. The public beach entrance is not well marked and the 10 minute walk mentioned, only gets you to the start of the beach, at which point you have continue walking to find a nice spot that isn't in front of a resort. The condo did have chairs and a beach blanket not advertised, that we were able to use and there is plenty of shade by the palm trees making an umbrella unnecessary in our opinion. We found a great little sandwich/juice/fresh fruit tienda at the beach entrance and really liked the food at Casa del Vino . Don't expect a 'short walk to the beach' - prepare to go to the beach and bring everything with you and you will be sure to enjoy it.
