We had an excellent stay in December 2025 at this condo in Princeville! Check-in was simple and retrieving the key at lockbox was as expected. We had eight guests (four adults and four kids). There are three full bedrooms (I noticed on the virtual tour of the condo the third bedroom wasn't shown. It is the first door on the left upon entrance, and has two twin beds. and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are cramped or invading each other's space.The beds were good for all of us, as were the pillows. Overall it was comfortable once we got a good pattern of using the fans or A/C to moderate the temp in the rooms. The lanai was excellent to enjoy the breeze and just relax in between activities. We felt the condo was very clean upon arriving and there were plenty of towels for each bathroom.We checked out the pool one day, it was pretty chilly, but bearable once you were in the water. That being said, it was December and the high temps were in the upper 70's. There are items for using at the beach in the storage closet. Some items that were included were beach chairs, camping chairs, boogie boards, sand/beach toys, and some hiking poles (at the time there were two sets).The kitchen was fairly equipped with all the basics you would need to cook at the condo. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for the eight of us each meal.Parking is limited to one car, but we were always able to find a space. Great condo and location!

Stay away. This unit looks good in pictures but is not set up for a vacation rental. The whole unit needs an overhaul. Not with duct tape like they used to fix the handles of the screens, nor old screws to pretend to keep the oven handle attached to the over (which fell off 2x while baking, and 2nd time we stopped using the oven. The beds need to be taken to the dump, the bathroom needs plumbing so as to not flood the floors, the walls need drywall so that the exposed pipes are covered in the downstairs closet, the old cardboard box needs to be removed, and the kitchen needs proper utensils for a rental unit. A can opener, sharp knifes, etc would be helpful. Overall. the family members that had to stay there were disgusted by the conditions. They actually were talking of leaving early due to the stress of it all. So, in the end, stay away. DO NOT RENT.

What a great stay in Princeville

We had a fantastic stay! The property was peaceful, quiet, and had stunning views. The lanai was a highlight—we spent so much time out there just enjoying the scenery. The home was incredibly spacious, even more than we expected, and the location was perfect—just a minute from Foodland, making it easy to grab groceries and cook whenever we needed.A nice surprise was the beach towels and beach toys, which weren’t mentioned in the listing but were super helpful. The hosts were communicative and accommodating, making our stay even better. We would absolutely stay here again!

The location was great

The location was great. We always found a parking spot. The pool area was very nice, but we spent most of our time at the beach. The grounds were well kept. Close to sidewalks and access to running or walks. Just over a 5k to run to the cliffs and back. Close to the Princeville Market for food and supplies. The house was mostly clean. We had some dirty dishes, some burnt out lights, some minor maintenance things. My kids hated the plastic on the bed upstairs. Here's the thing, it worked great for sleeping. We only spent the nights there. It was a nice area, safe, and worked perfectly for us. It was closer to a 4.5 than a 4 star. It was just very minor things that did not ruin our vacation in any way. Communication was great and timely. I do not think you will have a bad experience. A little TLC and this place is easily 5 stars.

Loved our stay here. Condo was in a great location and very clean. Loved all the landscaping and beautiful Mountain View off the balcony. Great snorkeling and swimming beach in walking distance. We can’t wait to come back!

Vacasa manager Mahea was amazing! This property has very comfortable beds and the lay out of the condo allows for privacy in all rooms! Teenagers loved the pool. Great stay!

Family vaca

The unstairs bed was unmade when we showed at the property. I contacted VRBO many times and asked for a manager to call and also to deliver linen to make the bed. After many contacts and 48 hours they finally left linen on the porch. Only problem we needed a queen and they delivered a twin. I also asked that they infom the owner since we were not able to use the bed for 2 days, they said its not possible. Nice place for my family to stay but after 10 + years of using VRBO I was very disappointed with the customer service. I would also think the owner would want to know this happened for their protection from poor service to their renters thus I am writing this note for them. We used to be able to email the owner but does not appear to be an option any more.

Beautiful Unit, Terrible Service

This is a beautiful condo in a beautiful complex. Unfortunately, some issues in the unit, and the failure to deal with them by the property management company, resulted in a less-than-stellar experience. 1) The washing machine was full of mildew. All of the bath towels in the unit smelled of it, and when we went to wash them, we found the reason why. We called for three days to have someone come and fix the washer, and each day were told that the local team would be in touch. After the second day of no resolution, we used some paper towels and bleach spray to try to clean the rubber liner around the drum and both times the paper towels ended up being caked in a dark brown gunk. We came home at the end of the third day to a bottle of mold/mildew cleaning spray and a rag outside of our front door… 2) The A/C unit in the bedroom with the twin beds on the first floor leaks. We woke up after the first night to standing water that filled the closet and extended underneath one of the beds. It took four beach towels to clean up all of the water. We turned off the unit and called to have it looked at. The first time calling we were told that the local team would be in touch. The next day we were told to just leave it on — this could explain why the floor in this room is peeling. We left it off the rest of our stay. There is more to share, but I’m out of characters. This could be great unit — but I wouldn’t recommend based on our recent stay though.

Princeville condo

Large, clean condo sleeps 8 comfortably. Wonderful beach items to borrow in outside closet including chairs, snorkel equipment, umbrella and kid sand toys. Has a pack n' play for a little one to sleep. Great customer service and easy self entry. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great potential

Overall a nice stay but really needs a deep clean and maintenance. It was like going to our 70s era cabin in the mountains of Utah, but dirtier. The master shower was furry at the edges with black mold, curtains and walls are stained with dirt and food, one of the air units leaked like a waterfall, one didn't really cool and in that room the carpet was filthy and the top sheet was a full for a queen bed and the covers had to be washed, also filthy. We were encoraged to go shoeless, but realized quickly that we needed to clean all of the floors as our socks and soles if our feet were black with dirt. Just dirty, dated and worn. Vacasa was responsive overall and did refund the cleaning fee, but it took almost to the end of our stay to get the unusable air unit repaired and get our guest off the couch and into a bed vs sleeping in a hot box like a prisoner of war.

Spacious condo with covered porch

We had a wonderful stay at this condo for our time in Princeville. It was very spacious for 4 adults with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus an extra seating area upstairs. We also enjoyed our coffee on the covered wrap around porch. The location was also good as we could walk (10 min) or drive (2 min) to the grocery store and small plaza which also had restaurants. The grocery store had everything you need including hot take out meals, Poke, sushi, alcohol, beer, wine and even snorkel gear, water shoes and other beach gear. We were also within walking distance to a nice beach and from there you could walk to Anini Beach (steep hill but otherwise easy walk). Also a short drive to Anini Beach from the unit. Our favourite beach was Tunnels Beach though. Really great snorkelling and beautiful green mountain beside. We went there several times to snorkel and one evening we picked up takeout from Hanalei Bay then went back to Tunnels to watch the sunset. Stunning!

Great for families

Huge condo. We had 4 people. Could easily sleep 6 or more. Plenty of space to spread out. Nice and clean. Washer and dryer was a plus. Unit had AC but we didnt need/use it. Lots of windows which we like but unit is surrounded by other units so not much privacy unless you close all the blinds. Convenient location to Kuhio hwy and north shore stuff. We really enjoyed the unit but wouldn’t stay here again simply because we’d prefer more privacy.

Princeville deluxe condo

This 2nd floor 2-level condo was very comfortable, well furnished and had a lovely wrap-around covered deck/lanai surrounded by tropical plantings where we spent many early morning and evening hours. Kitchen is very well equipped. Beds are quite firm and could use gel toppers. Since it was awkward communicating with the realty management on a holiday weekend, we did not ask them to come replace nonworking lightbulbs, especially in the main bath closet area and staircase, but I imagine they would have been responsive. We loved Anini beach and Kilauea lighthouse areas. You must see Napali coast by boat and check out the restaurant scene in Kapaa and food trucks and shops in Hanalei. Skip Poipu but the botanical gardens on the south shore are amazing

Great location, lots of room!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect! The garden areas are beautiful! The beach that is a short walk from the home was a bit steep of a climb and does not take you straight to Anini beach, you have to walk quite a bit along another (nice) beach to get there. That being said, it is a short drive and a nice beach with overhanging trees and lots of shade, picnic grounds, showers and restrooms. Another very close find was Queens Bath. Also a steep climb but really worth it. Some nice natural pools that overlook the ocean. The Farmers market (walking distance) was a lot of fun with music and hula dancers! Foodland is a great, friendly market as well. Pricing was a bit high, but if you give them your phone number, they will give you discounts. And you must try the ice cream store next door! Property managers were quick to respond to questions and very helpful through the whole process. We did have a problem accessing the pool though, they told us several times that a key was not necessary - but the pool was locked. We were able to get someone to let us in once but was unable to use it outside of that. The property itself was nice, very spacious for the 8 of us traveling. Well equipped with books and games. While it was overall clean, there were some things missed. Dirty dishes in the cupboard and the floors were a bit sandy on arrival. Didn't bother us but some may find it a problem. The grill however, was really dirty, needed a thorough cleaning - so bad, we opted not to use it despite having bought fish from the market specifically to grill. Couple of small challenges, but overall a great stay. We ate in the room mostly and it was well equipped to accommodate all of us. The deck is AMAZING. If you are sensitive to traffic noises though - you may want to bring ear plugs. You are right by a road, not heavily trafficked, but you can hear the road noise. Bottom line, if we find ourselves in Kauai again, we would stay again!
