Der Empfang durch Julia und ihre Mitarbeiterinnen war dann auch entsprechend herzlich und zuvorkommend. "It’s a beautiful hotel with very helpful staff. The location of the hotel cannot be better especially for people with luggage’s as it’s right at the edge of the ancient town so we don’t need to drag our luggage on narrow cobblestone roads in town. We went to eat inside the ancient town almost every day. The hotel consists of individual old-style houses which are very private yet inside is new and tastefully decorated. "The room is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The owner speaks English and uses WeChat to keep us posted. The only complaint is it may take sometimes for the hot water to arrive, and the room is a bit cold. Moreover, the hotel is situated in the center of Lijiang old town, which makes travelling easier and saves time."

"We could not expect anything better while staying at Ripplewood in Lijang, Yunnam, China. We were treated like part of their family. Every morning we had free breakfast and every time we were gaven Flower Cake, a famous local dissert cake made of flower paddles, after coming back from a tour in ancient cities. "This hotel in my mind is average. Cleaness is average but definetly not as in the photos (the photos were possibly took when the rooms are new renovation). Fresh air? Don't expect fresh air, as many hotel guests or people nearby are smoking. Since this hotel is not entirely smoke-free, you'll have to settle for air tinged with the smell of cigarettes.
