Beach Stay

The overall trip and house were lovely.. The location is not on the beach but it’s a short walk w a path. Such a nice beach and was not crowded. Things you should know the house is not stocked w anything, no spices no coffee no sugar or creamer throw blanketsBasically bring everything you need. We were a family of 10 and had 4 towels provided. The house was clean but hairs in the bathroom on arrival. Also no tvs in any of the bedrooms one tv in ththe living ro and one outside downstairs

Great house

The house was in a great location. The house was clean and well stocked. Owner was very responsive to questions and check-in was a breeze. The mosquitos were terrible, bring lots of spray/foggers. We didn’t get to spend as much time downstairs, due to the mosquitos. Neighbors said they were extremely bad the past couple months. We would definitely not hesitate to come back.

Had a great time

Overall this is a great house with almost everything we wanted/needed. Beds are comfortable and the living room comfortably sat all 8 of us. The house needs a few small repairs (the floor was taped in the dining area, sink leaking in kitchen) and needed a deep cleaning (dead bugs and lots of dust in places not getting cleaned regularly like behind couch). The kids were bummed bc there is only one TV in the house but the adults didn’t care. Owner was super nice and responded quickly. The location is perfect for getting to the beach on foot quickly. Definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful home and location

The house is in a quiet area with walk on access to the beach so there isn’t much traffic. The beach area is very quiet, but the dunes do hold water so bring a lot of bug spray. The beaches have hundreds of shells that you don’t find anywhere else in Crystal Beach or Galveston, and the marine life is amazing. We caught crab on the beach and saw river otters swimming along the coast. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has most everything you want. It has great storage space for clothes and there is a toy box with some toys, mostly for younger kids (puzzles, hot wheels, blocks), they have games also (jenga, poker, cards). One of the best houses we’ve rented in the area, would definitely recommend it.

Perfect for Girls’ Trip

The Lighthouse was a great house for our 7-person girls’ trip. We had plenty of beds, rooms, space, and amenities to spread out or gather around without feeling claustrophobic. The proximity to the beach was great. We rented a golf cart and had direct access to a cart path to get us right on the beach. That was a blast! We found all the kitchen appliances and gadgets that we needed: blender for pina coladas, crockpot for queso, a modern Keurig for coffee, two refrigerators for all our drinks and food, etc… Our host was very nice and accommodating. I warned Henry that I may be ringing his phone off the hook during our first hour of getting settled in. He laughed and said to call as much as we needed. I truly appreciated that. Fortunately for Henry, I didn’t have to call more than twice, lol.
