  • Welcome to Misty Blue!! Historic, serene cottage in the heart of Chincoteague Island! This beautiful three bedroom cottage sleeps 8-10 comfortably but maintains all the charm of cozy island living. Walking distance to most shops, restaurants, artisan and farmer's markets, movie theater, Island Pony, and more. Outdoor fireplace, fenced yard for your smaller fur babies, parking to accommodate 4-5 vehicles, linens, bedding, towels, and a well- equipped kitchen are just some of the amenities you will enjoy at Misty Blue. Pet friendly! NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. STRICTLY ENFORCED.

    Property is NOT child or baby-proof in ANY way. There are four steps leading to the front door, as well as stairs leading to the bedrooms. There are NO first floor bedrooms or showers, however, there is a pull out queen sleeper and a pull out twin sleeper both on the first level. There is a working wood pellet stove available for your use on the cooler nights. Owner is not responsible for any accidents, injury, or death.

    Guest accepts all liability and risk in the use of the property, including anything unmentioned here.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming house, right in the heart of Chincoteague island. It was spotless upon arrival, and we were thrilled to have been able to bring our dogs along. The large fenced-in yard was such a pleasant surprise! Perfect for the dog-loving beach-going family!

Good Option

We had a lovely stay at this beach house. It was a great option for our family—spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located. We truly enjoyed our time there and felt right at home.There are a few kitchen appliances that could use some attention, but nothing major—just minor things that are easily fixable. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we'd gladly stay again!

Our Host was very communicative and positive. The home was as advertised and spacious. It is great location to fresh produce daily and mid week & weekend farmers market with live music. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling to Chincoteague!

Truly lovely place with fun bedroom decor and a rustic beachy vibe. The I closed fenced in area was great for the dog. Clean and nice and the host was supper accommodating and willing to work with us. Bonus - no extensive complicated checkout list. So lovely.

This is a great house in a fabulous location! Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) had plenty of comfortable space to chill out. It is super convenient to Main Street, and we rented bikes so we didn't have to drive anywhere, including the beach. Owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

My Service Dog Javier and I enjoyed our stay at Misty Blue. The house was lovely, with cool artistic touches throughout. I love older homes, and this one has been very well maintained.Although I did not cook in the kitchen, it was well supplied with everything one might need. The house is located in a great area and I walked everywhere.

Perfect Cabin

My friend and I were looking for a quiet girls' weekend and the cabin was perfect! The area is quiet and there was plenty of nature- we even got to see some baby geese. The location is perfect if you want to go into Salisbury or downtown Pocomoke. The cabin is as described and Mia was easy to communicate with- she responded instantly! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice neighborhood; good location

This worked out for my son's family of five, plus one dog. The dog was brother to our dog so they got along well; we put them in portable kennels when we left the house. Refrigerator broke on first night; owner substituted small one for duration of stay. Few curtains for privacy. Plastic chairs needed repairs. An older house listed for sale. New painting and floor made it attractive. Comfortable overall.

The owner was nice and check in was easy, but there were some obvious things missing from the house. The house was a good location, nicely decorated, and we didn't have any major problems. Weirdly, there were no blinds or curtains. The house is on a busy street and there's literally another house in the back yard, but there was only one very sheer panel on each window, each was tied up on a knot so 1/2 the window was just open and the other half was barely covered, the curtain rods weren't even screw in- they were propped up on nails. It was impossible to change clothes without exposing yourself to the whole neighborhood, let alone sleep without headlights shining on you windows all night. We had to go to the Dollar General store and purchase curtains for the house. I don't understand this. Window coverings for privacy are essential. Walmart blinds would have been fine. There was just nothing. Other than that, it was ok. There was no plug for the bathtub, so with kids that was a problem. The coffee maker was the cheapest single serve coffee maker available. We bought a regular coffee pot and left it there. It was mostly clean, but the cabinets under the kitchen sink were filthy and there were mosquitoes in the house.
