"Perfect place to stay for our son’s graduation from the University of Iowa! Fun campus vibe, helpful staff, extremely convenient location for downtown Iowa City with walking distance to many spots. Coffee shop and bar/restaurant adjacent to property and we had coupons included for $15 per person per day that we could use there, which was great! Thanks for the memories! Go, Hawks!"

"Didn't eat there "

"The location is good because it’s close to the university. The hotel room had a smell that did not go away. One of the towels had a stain. We had a double bed. The mattress to one bed was so bad you could feel the bed springs. So we moved to the other bed that was a bit better. If all you are doing is going to sleep there then I guess it’s ok. We did not have the breakfast or dinner so do not know how that was."

"We found another Drury Inn that brought the cleanliness we were looking for. As usual, we enjoyed a satisfying supper and then breakfast. The manager took time to visit with people at breakfast."

"I loved everything about the property. Everything was well-maintained, clean both in the lobby and the rooms, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly. Next time I return, I will stay at the same Element Iowa hotel. 100% recommended."

"Overall clean. Staff in restaurant were very nice. The woman who made our coffee at Starbucks was amazing! You have to pay for parking and use your room key to get out of the parking garage."

"The lobby of the hotel looks nice. Then you get into the rooms. They are dated and a bit worn. Our carpet had an iron burn mark. Wallpaper was peeling. The tub was super dangerous as it did not have a textured surface, and the one grab bar was inconveniently placed. This was adequate for one night, but I wouldn't stay here longer than that. The breakfast had very limited options."

"Shower need to be re-caulked. Coffee machine at breakfast delivered half water. No hot or warm water in the morning for a shower before 7:30- 8:00. Immigrant attendant didn't answer the front desk phone and was not helpful. Could barely speak understandable English. When I inquired about no hot water, the reply was: The maintenance man doesn't come until 8:30. No more La Quinta hotels for us. Don't recommend this hotel."

"Very quiet, conveniently located for shopping and restaurants, very short drive to Iowa City hospitals and clinics. Very clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast."
