Platja de Marmaros

Perfect location near everything (Sultanahmet, tube, tram, restaurants...). We had a really nice corner room with French balcony, nice to arrange the armchairs so you could sit, relax and enjoy watching the life outside in the evenings. The hotel is old and in need of renovation but that's totally acceptable as the price level reflects that. The shower cabin doors have a gap in the middle that causes some flooding on the bathroom floor. You have to find out a strategy on how to take a shower to avoid that. The light by the bathroom mirror was also very poor. The staff is friendly and helpful and the wifi was excellent. The breakfast buffet was very nice, Turkish style. However, the dining/breakfast room was really cold. Same applies to the small pool on the roof. This was end of August.

The room was very small, which made our stay a bit challenging, especially with my 87-year-old mom. The breakfast quality was good, but the dining area was often overcrowded. We also had no control over the room temperature (to make it cold), and it was sometimes uncomfortably hot. It got better when the weather cooled down. Additionally, we were without water for about 16 hours due to flooding, which made the overall experience less pleasant. However, I have to mention that the staff and manager did their best to help us. They moved us to a bigger room and tried to adjust the temperature to make our stay more comfortable. We really appreciated their efforts.

Demiray was amazing!! The staff gave us the room since 6 am, while their check in time was in the afternoon. They allowed us to have breakfast that same morning, while our plan would have started the following day. No other place would have done this. Extremely accommodating to the guests. They give guests unlimited bottles of water. The steam, sauna and the bath were amazing, so was their jacuzzi and pool. This was our second time in three years and every time we were extremely happy.
