  • For those seeking a holiday oasis among nature, the search is over! Villa Veni, situated in a private land of 600 sq.m. on the outskirts of Veni village, is the haven you have been looking for! It is literally a hidden gem around the beauty and tranquility of a uniquely green landscape of olive trees and vineyards. Regarding the location, Villa Veni is located close to 3 Natura 2000 protected nature areas (Elafonisi, Balos and Falasarna) making it an ideal destination for nature and hiking lovers. Furthermore, the Villa is only 4 Km away from Kolymvari village and the beach that lies in front of it.
    Layout

    Villa Veni is a 105 sq. m,. two-storey property and can accommodate 4 people in its 2 bedrooms and up to 5 if necessary. This cosy dwelling offers superior design and construction quality and is furnished in a combination of bohemian and minimalist touches, making you feel like this was always your home.
    Ground Floor
    Entering the villa on the ground floor there is a spacious open plan area consisted of the living room, indoor dinning area and a fully equipped kitchen of top quality fixtures and appliances. The living room features a decorative fireplace, Smart TV with Netflix, while offering stunning countryside views through the large glass doors and direct access to a spacious veranda. The veranda is equipped with an outdoor seating area and it enjoys amazing views of the surrounding area! A bedroom with two single beds (0.90 x 2.00 m) that can also be set up as one double upon request can also be found on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom with shower cabin and a washing machine.
    First Floor
    Reaching to the first floor from the stairs (which is actually a spacious, lovely attic above the living room), there is an open plan bedroom with Queen size bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), A/C and a balcony with a small coffee table, as well as a second roomy bathroom with a shower cabin.
    Outdoor area
    A few steps below the veranda, guests can access the exterior of the Villa, a 500 m2 fenced area with many facilities and spots for relaxing, and. More specifically the outdoor area offers:
    - A 40 sq.m. private swimming pool (minimum depth: 0.80 m, maximum depth: 1.50 m) with a special compartment for children. The pool can also be heated upon advance request at an additional daily charge for the entire stay. The tile-paved terrace around the pool is equipped with an outdoor shower, sun beds, and umbrellas for your comfort.
    - An outdoor dining area with a built-in table and bench under the shade of a pergola, where you can enjoy al fresco dining.
    - An organised barbecue area with an outdoor sink to prepare your meals.

    - Beautifully landscaped gardens, surrounded by olive trees, aromatic herbs, and fresh vegetables. Large lawn-covered area next to the pool, for children to play safely.

    - Parking space for two cars.
    - The Villa is fully fenced and has a gated entrance offering full privacy to our guests.

A beautifully maintained, comfortable, well appointed villa in a lovely setting. Great host, very helpful, friendly and good comms meant we had a fantastic holiday. Close enough to all the amenities you need with some fantastic places to eat only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this as a great base to explore this area of Crete.

A Fantastic Choice

This is a wonderful villa. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you can truly relax here. The owners are exceptional hosts and make every effort to ensure your stay is stress-free. The house is stylish, comfortable, well equipped and very clean. We have stayed in many lovely holiday homes over the years and this is one of our favourites. We will definitely be coming back again.

Lovely villa, great location

We loved our stay at Veni Villa - great location, close to many beaches for day trips and Chania. Lovely interior, comfortable beds, fully equipped with everything you need, and to top it off - a gorgeous view over an olive orchard! Kids enjoyed the pool. Very responsive hosts. Highly recommend and hope to return!

Perfect Holiday Home!

We loved this place - It is incredibly stylish, clean, and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. The location is great – just off a national road and close to a lovely little village with shops and great restaurants but secluded enough to be completely private (and soooo quiet!) Our host was wonderful – there to meet and greet and to wish us bon voyage. Available 24/7 if we needed them (we never did) and on hand with suggestions and a concierge service included. We stayed for 8 nights and had a mid-stay clean included – change of sheets and fresh towels delivered. Overall a wonderful villa, in a lovely spot.

Fabulous villa!

Villa Veni was absolutely wonderful. The villa is modern with all the amenities you would want for your stay and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, the showers powerful with plenty of hot water and many towels for bathing and the pool. To have the linens chamged and the villa cleaned twice while we were there was a luxury! The pool and outdoor areas were private and perfect....so peaceful you felt totally relaxed. The area is quiet but easy to access the main routes to get to Chania and Kissimmous with all the beaches and restaurants easy to reach. Great location. The owner, his daughter and the Etouri team were fantastic; they were always easy to contact, communicate with and nothing was too much to ask. They were so accommodating and friendly with advice about local restaurants and sights as well as any queries about the villa we felt really looked after. I would highly recommend this villa for a holiday in Crete - you won't want to leave!

Perfect stay. Quiet, beautiful and relaxing.

This was a really beautiful property. Really modern comfortable house, with a great pool. Eat inside, or eat on the covered patio, or eat outside under the grape vines. Owners were super accommodating and friendly. Great view of olive tree covered hills with cute hillside towns. Super quiet. The occasional baaaaa from neighborhood sheep was about the only noise. Close (5-6 mins) to Kolimpari for restaurants, groceries or beach. (You will need a car). It was really magical, and we are lucky we got to stay here. We miss it already. For parents, the pool has a separate very shallow area for splashing, and the main pool ranges from a shallow side to a deeper side. Also a grassy area on the propery. Thanks !

Einfach unglaublich

Wir kamen spät am Samstag an und wurden herzlich empfangen. Am nächsten Tag noch Lebensmittel zu besorgen war kein Problem, da sich die nächste Stadt (Kolymvari)ca 8 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt ist und sonntags der Supermarkt offen ist. In Kolymvari sind auch ein feiner Kieselstrand, Apotheke, Bäckerei, Weinhandlung, diverse Restaurants mit frischem Fisch und ein kleiner Bootsverleih, den wir in Anspruch genommen haben. Das Haus liegt traumhaft schön und man ist absolut ungestört. Privatsphäre garantiert. Viel schöner als auf den Bildern. Da wir Ende Oktober da waren, haben wir die Poolheizung in Anspruch genommen. Die Villa ist sehr gut ausgestattet sowohl Mobiliar als auch Küchenutensilien mit großem Kühlschrank. Die Bäder, beide mit Dusche, waren geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Die Betten hatten sehr gute Matratzen und waren bequem. Auf der Terrasse haben wir die Abende bis zum Sonnenuntergang verbracht. Dort sitzt man windgeschützt, auch wenn die Abende kühler werden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der sehr gut gepflegte Garten mit Liegestühlen und Aussenküche mit Grillplatz. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und wohl gefühlt und werden nicht das letzte Mal da gewesen sein. Diese Villa ist für Ruhesuchende ideal. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr schönes und ruhiges Haus

Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, alles da was man braucht. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, was oft nicht der Fall ist in Ferienhäuser. Die Gegend ist extrem ruhig, was uns sehr gefallen hat und die Kommunikation hat perfekt funktioniert. Absolut nichts auszusetzen, ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen.

Traumhaus mit Pool in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Teenager Töchtern zum ersten Mal in Kreta und waren begeistert. George , der Eigentümer, hat uns dankenswerterweise einen Early- check- in am frühen Nachmittag ermöglicht, da wir schon am Morgen in Chania gelandet sind. Die Villa ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Der Garten mit Infinity Pool ist ein Traum. Aufgrund der Süd-West-Ausrichtung hatte er den ganzen Tag und Abend Sonne. Nachdem wir uns an das Zirpen der Grillen gewöhnt hatten, haben wir die ländliche Stille und die Abgeschiedenheit sehr genossen. Der Blick auf die umliegende Berge war herrlich. Trotzdem konnte man mit dem Auto verschiedene Strände in ca. 20-40 Minuten erreichen. Wir können die Villa nur empfehlen und hoffen, wir können bald einmal wieder kommen.

Georges nous a réservé un très bon accueil et nous a fourni toutes les explications nécessaires à notre arrivée. Sympathie et disponible. La villa corrisponde alla descrizione e alle foto, anzi dal vivo è ancora più bella. Un po' isolata, ma questo è un vantaggio, non ci sono rumori se non quelli della natura. La piscina è bellissima, la villa è curata e pulita, il proprietario è gentilissimo e disponibile. Consigliatissima per le famiglie, vicina alle spiagge più belle di Creta.

Amazing and soothing location !

First of all, a big THANKS to George, the owner of the house, for his kindness, his hospitality, and his toughtfullness ; during the stay, and even after (We forgot a bag, and George very rapidly sent it back to us in Crete). We had a very pleasant stay in this part of Crete. Congratulations to George and his spouse for the way they designed the house, and its external architecture, including the swimming pool and the orchard. The interior design is very pleasant, and everything is very clean. The house is constantly illuminated by the natural light, and rocked by the song of the cicadas. We also thank thr whole Etouri Team, for their availability, and constant diligence.

Beautiful Villa - Fantastic space both inside and out. Amazing private rural location

We have just come back from a 10 day at the villa with our 2 late teenage children - We all had a fantastic time.The villa was very suitable for 4 with lots of seating areas inside and out. It was beautifully fitted out and the owners had clearly put a lot of thought into the design. The outdoor Barbecue area and outside seating/ pool area were particularly inviting. Everything was very clean and the owners and the Property Manager were very helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The property is in a rural location and it is necessary to have a car. But , this does allow you to explore the area which is to be recommended.There are some fantastic beaches within easy reach and we enjoyed trips to Chania and Rethymo - both really lovely and a must to visit.The closest supermarket and local town are only 10 minutes away in the car - where there are some lovely local seaside restaurants to eat at. We really did enjoy ourselves. This was our first visit to Crete and we are so pleased that we spent it in this part of the Island and in this Villa! We would highly recommend it.

Excellent facilities, location and support.

We loved Villa Veni. The Villa had everything we needed for a week and we didn't want to go home! The location, while not on the beach, was very close drive to local villages, towns and beaches. We will be back. Thanks to the support team. Wonderful!

Amazing Villa

We loved our stay at this fantastic modern villa. The villa has everything you could wish for and the owners and other contacts were very helpful from start to finish. Small touches like gifts on arrival made our holiday extra special. The property even has it's own app which was really useful to see more shots of the villa and find out about the local area. The property is very spacious inside and out and the pool and house are extremely well maintained. The view from the living space and patio is simply stunning as the pictures show. Towels and bedding were changed half way through our stay and the owner even installed a brand new boiler as there'd been a minor problem with hot water on one day. You can't beat that for good service! A car is needed to access the property as its a 5 min drive from the nearest town which does have everything you could need, including supermarkets and some lovely restaurants. Just be careful using a sat nav as occasionally it tried to take us down roads which really weren't meant for a car! There is a narrow lane running down the side of the property which is used by other local residents, and the property's fence doesn't offer full privacy to people driving past, but we didn't find this to be an issue. If you are looking for somewhere to relax in luxury with easy access to great food and beaches then we can't recommend Villa Veni enough. Thank you all. X

Pure relaxation...Villa Veni surpassed our expectations in every way.

Villa Veni is without doubt the best place we have stayed during our many holidays in the Greek islands. Being in our later years we always book villas of extremely high standard, Villa Veni surpassed our expectations. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Every detail, inside and out, is maintained to the highest standard and the whole villa was immaculately clean. No creepy crawlies and for the first time for us in Greece no mosquitoes! We all slept well from the first night as the villa was so quiet and my pet hate...no cockerels waking me up. The wifi was good for the whole 2 weeks stay. The air conditioning throughout cooled the villa down instantly when needed. The setting is perfect; blissfully peaceful with lovely views, and yet within easy reach of local shops, restaurants and beaches, providing you have a car. Relaxing in the infinity-pool at sunset was sublime. Watching swallows swoop down over the water is the kind of experience holiday memories are made of. The owners, George and Mary Ellen, are truly delightful; genuinely friendly and hospitable, whilst also polite and respectful, making a real difference to the overall holiday experience. We are so pleased we accepted their kind offer of an authentic Cretan evening. We left feeling like we were leaving old friends. The villa is located in a beautiful part of the island. Beaches of all kinds, from large popular stretches of golden sand like Elafonísi to tiny deserted rocky bays with the clearest of water for great snorkelling, are all within easy reach by car. There are also some stunning drives through the nearby mountains and gorges, which are not to be missed. The small local town of Kolymvari (10 minutes drive) has all the necessary shops, supermarkets, and restaurants. We particularly liked Palio Arhintiko where the food and service was excellent. The old-town quarter in Chania (30 minutes drive) is also worth a day's exploring for its many shops, cafes, and restaurants. Villa owner George is only too happy to recommend great places to go and things to see. In all, a place we would fully recommend to you and our friends. We have never gone back to the same place twice as there is so much of the world to see but this is a very special place and we very much hope to visit Villa Veni again.

One word: PERFECT!

Really a wonderful place!!!!! The owners are so kind! The house's lovely decorated and offers everything you need, even more. All around the villa, there's a beautiful landscape, so quiet, and only 8-10 minutes to the sea and the village. With our 3 teenagers, we visited the island in the day and were happy to come back in this paradise every evening! The only thing less pleasant is the road (2h30 from Heraklion's airport). If possible, better to land in Chania (only 30 minutes).
