Bring your boat or rent one for the ultimate in Florida lifestyle. Our community dock will accommodate a boat up to 22 feet. Like to fish? Fish right off the dock or try your luck surf fishing or book a charter with one of the local guides for a thrilling day of sport fishing or backwater challenges. Trout, Redfish, Snook, Tarpon and Grouper are just a few of the many species that call our waters home.

Don Pedro Island (aka Palm Island) is a barrier island 7 miles lone and a stones throw from the mainland. You’ll arrive via a short car ferry ride that takes about three minutes. Palm Island transit has a website, check out rates and information. Our island has a resort that offers a casual restaurant, ice cream/deli shop, sundries store. The island is almost all single family homes so you’ll quickly find it has a pristine 'non-commercial' family feel. There are no large high-rise resorts, beach bars or traffic and noise. If you’re looking for that place in the sun that you can actually hear the wind whistle through the palms - you’ve found your place.

Off island you’ll be close to restaurants, shops, golf courses and world famous Boca Grande as well as other attractions. As we like to say... civilization is close but not too close. Boca Grande offers exclusive shopping, dining and sightseeing. By boat you can reach Cayo Costa Island State Park and Cabbage Key where Jimmy Buffet was inspired to write 'Cheeseburger In Paradise.' Do it all, or do nothing at all, that’s the “island” lifestyle. It’s laid back, always casual (leave your tie at home) and Florida at its best.

Because our home is located in an unusual destination type island, we have a STRICT cancellation policy. Rest and quiet

Most beautiful beach. Loved the peace and quiet. Several points should be addressed. Fan on porch would only work with light on. Screen door on porch does not work properly. Oven not up to our standards. Beds and pillows nice. Not enough towels for bathing. We use our own beach towels. Just suggestions.........

Island paradise

This property was wonderful. Everything I could have asked for. The house was spacious and it was right on the beach The pool was a nice touch as well. Will definitely becoming back. In fact already have it reserved for next year.

Unplug before Back to School

Single parent with six kids in tow. All teenagers in high school. Took two days to unplugged before school started back. The property was clean and comfortable. The owner communicated every day. She was extremely flexible given we had hurricane Debby pass by on the days we were supposed to go and we were able to postpone. It is just a few steps from the beach. I could watch everyone from the house, whether it be in the ocean or the pool. Great trip! Can’t wait to go again!

First time to Don Pedro Island. It is everything people say it is. License to Chill is a fantastic place to stay. Clean, well maintained, and exactly as described by the pictures and narrative in the listing. Our host was very reachable and attentive to all our questions. We will definitely go back.

Relaxed beauty

A very clean unpretentious beach house, Diane is a great property manager. This island sandy roads are fun to drive around in a golf cart, please get care free beachwear, a hat and a good pony tail if you fancy long hair. A ferry takes you there in your car, golf cart... Arrive early morning to avoid long wait. Bring all groceries on your way into the island, there is a scarcely supplied convenience store in the resort. The Palm Island/Don Pedro Island provides charmingly the experience of old Florida with the modern conveniences of electricity and AC. The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are amazing.

Relax/ Chill/Enjoy

Just what we needed to relax and enjoy the weather and beauty right outside our door! We were just steps from the water and sand. Licence to Chill had everything you could think of from towels, kitchen supplies, to bikes, kayaks and even golf cart. Diane was very available if needed and seemed genuinely interested in guests having a great getaway! ,

Slice of Heaven

Our stay here was amazing. Perfect place to relax and unwind. This condo came with everything you could possibly think of and then some. Our host had great communication with us throughout our stay and had so many great recommendations for us on what to do while we were there. Sunset every night right from the Lanei. We will definitely return again.

We have fallen in love with October at the beach. This island is magical for melting away stress and this property has the absolute best view! Diane is a pro and communication with her was flawless. We will definitely rent from her again. Don't think twice before booking this property!

Simply Beautiful

Licensed 2 Chill is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. The home is perfectly situated facing the gulf with incredible views from the main living room and master bedroom. The beach is literally steps away! We walked down to the state park collecting shells and watching the birds and dolphins along the way. The townhome is exactly as described along with amenities. The pool next door was an added plus! There is a nice restaurant and shopette only a quick trip away by golf cart.

Everything was great for the most part. A bit severe with the rules and regulations. Email upfront, repeated on the fridge - another text when checking out. Zero ability for early check in or late check out either. We enjoyed the property but would not book through the company managing it again.

Paradise week

FANTASTIC Paradise and wonderful amenities. We LOVED the entire experience. A total of 3 of us came on this trip. Mark age 62, Andrea age 43 and Kane age 14 We stayed at 420 “License to Chill” We saw more wildlife than Humans on the island during our stay from August 22-28. We saw Manatees several times on 2 or 3 different days, several sharks, dolphins, 4 Gopher tortoise, So many birds that we can’t count and all kinds of various smaller fish! The unit we stayed in was a short walk to the pool, and beach. We could see the Gulf from the kitchen, living room, front door, master bedroom and pool. We had a wonderful relaxing week! The only thing we will do different next time is bring Sun shade cover. Thank you Diane for the wonderful opportunity you have provided for my family and I!

First Palm Island Trip

Great time at the beach!

My family stayed at this property for one week. It was a great house. It was clean, easy to find, well stocked, with plenty of space inside and outside. It is literally right on the beach. The general area is nice. The actual island is nice. The car ferry ride over to the island was super quick and easy. We stopped by a nearby Walmart to stock up before going to the island. When the kids realized the location was near Lemon Bay they wanted to go by Danny Duncan's (YouTube star) ice cream shop so that was a neat little experience. We traveled with our older family dog who had some issues on the trip and needed to see a vet. The near by Lemon Bay Animal Hospital was great and got him fixed up so that he could enjoy the trip as well. We visited the restaurant and the ice cream shop on the island. I recommend paying a little extra for use of the golf cart. It was nice taking a ride on it around to explore a little bit. We saw lots of rabbits and turtles. Buy plenty of sun block before you get there because it is a little pricey at the local store. Buy more than you think you need. The beach is very close to the house and it is extremely clean. Lots of sea shells. We fished at the beach and at the dock area. The beds were clean and very comfortable. I would stay again. The only downside that I can possibly think of is that you can't go out on the beach at night with flashlights because of the sea turtles which is understandable for the area though.

Wonderful Vacation

This condo and its location checks every box. Beach front, direct pool view and easy access to the canal. My wife and 2 kids had such a wonderful time taking it all in. The condo itself was very clean and included all basic amenities needed while on the island. Highly encourage the golf cart rental as it makes for a very fun ride up and down the island, specifically during the cooler summer evenings. The owner was incredibly responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Overall, a great stay! Will definitely be back.
