Large Family Suite: Beach Access & 2 Bedrooms

The Moonflower Suite, part of Hibiscus Beach, is a 2 bedroom house on the beach with a spectacular view of the Caribbean. Situated on the Placencia Sidewalk, it is within walking distance to dozens of local restaurants, bars, shops, and tour operators. This listing is for the main (upper) floor of Moonflower only. There are 2 separate apartments available for rent on the ground floor should you require more space.

Guests also get FREE day passes to Placencia Beach Club for use of their pool.

There's not another property like this in Placencia. We've kept the two lots separating Moonflower from the sea vacant and without obstruction to provide a large, extended private beach. There is also parking- a rare commodity for sidewalk residences- should you choose to rent a car or golf cart, though you'll find everything you need within walking distance.

This listing is for the main (upper) floor of Moonflower only. There are 2 separate apartments available for rent on the ground floor should you require more space (subject to availability).
Guests also get FREE day passes to Placencia Beach Club for use of their pool.
Other things to note.

Hibiscus Beach has 24/7 presence. Our groundskeepers keeps the beach free of seagrass and detritus and our security guards patrol the grounds at night. Our hospitality managers are available to answer any questions our guests may have about Hibiscus Beach or Placencia in general and can assist in booking tours and suggesting adventures.
Placencia has earned the moniker: "Barefoot Perfect." This describes not only the beaches and affinity of locals to forgo shoes, but also its laid-back lifestyle. Locals are charming, friendly, and extremely accommodating

Wonderful!

We really enjoyed our time, the place was is a nice location, clean and nice people all around! They could use more kitchen towels, wash clothes and they owners shower did not get very warm but they say a cold shower is better for you anyways! Overall, love our stay!

Great stay at a great location

My wife and my stay at the Moonflower was stress free and just about perfect. The suite was large with more than enough room, and a full kitchen if needed. Also, one plus is that my wife and I drank the tap water and ice with absolutely no stomach issues. This is a huge plus when you travel.The bedrooms were also large with plenty of room. The patio was huge with beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean. The grounds were well landscaped and maintained with picture perfect sand leading you all the way to the beach. Thank you to the management company that was my contact for my stay, they were quick to assist me with any questions I had about the property or Placencia.Placencia itself is a wonderful Village. From the friendly people to the delicious local restaurants and street food, Placencia made my wife and I feel relaxed and at home. This is a perfect property located in a hidden gem of a Village.We loved our stay at Moonflower and the Village of Placencia and will be looking to return.

Great Stay!

Prompt communication with host, Joyce (on-site) was great! We loved the apartment, the private beach, convenient location, and beach club access. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean. We would definitely stay again!

Great trip!

Property is beautiful with direct access to the beach. The house was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. The grounds are well maintained. The Placencia sidewalk is close by with a number of great places to eat a short walk away. I think we may be back next June!

Beautiful place to stay, perfect location

This was the perfect place for my husband, 3 year old daughter and I to enjoy Placencia. The host was so helpful in getting us checked in and set up with a taxi, guide for an excursion, and passes to a nearby beach club pool. Super clean, we felt safe and loved the views as it’s right on the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at Moonflower!! The place was beautiful and immaculate.

We loved spending time at Moonflower. The interior was beautiful and spacious, the porch overlooking the ocean was delightful. It had full shade mid-day when we needed it. It was also really nice to have the full porch on the back out of the sun where we entered. It had everything we needed from a freshwater shower at the foot of the steps when coming in from the beach, to sun chairs and hammocks. The gardener was very friendly and when we asked about the coconuts he cut down 4 for us and presented them to us ready to drink. Two thumbs up! The walk down the sidewalk through shops and restaurants was charming and felt very safe. All the locals were very friendly and seemed happy we were there. Several even thanked us for visiting. They were happy to be coming back to life after the pandemic. It was all very enjoyable. Good restaurants in walking distance, the Placencia Beach Club was a short walk to dip in the pool, we enjoyed some tours inland for Mayan ruins and cave tubing plus out to the islands for snorkeling. Loved every bit of it.

Great family trip

The location of the moonflower was terrific for my family of four (including kids ages 2 and 4). The beach was easily accessible and the house had a great view of the beach for when kids were napping or asleep. The placencia sidewalk runs right through hibiscus beach property and great restaurants and shopping was easy to access. Communication with on-site property manager Joyce was fantastic.

Perfect family moon!

The Moonflower was just beautiful. Well decorated, cold A/C, and very clean. The views were unbeatable. It was a perfect fit for us two adults and two children (12/9). All communication prior to arrival was prompt and easy. Joyce, the on site manager was very kind and helpful. She also helped arrange tours and transportation for us as well. We were able to book a pick up at the airport in Belize City, (if flying from in country, book Tropic to the Municipal airport, it’s much cheaper than the international) with cave tubing and a stop at the Mayan Ruins on the way to Placencia with Truly Wild Belize (on Joyce’s recommendation). Also check out Day Trippers Catamaran tours, that was a blast! There were plenty of lounge chairs, hammocks, and provided beach chairs. As well as some beach toys for the kiddos. The private beach was well groomed. We saw staff cleaning daily. The public beach (ocean front) was also gorgeous. There was minimal sea grass, even with high tides one day. Near by shopping and dining options within easy walking distance. Many places were still closed because of Covid, and they all shut down around 7pm due to the current curfew country wide, but we still were able to find new places daily to try out. Overall, this was such an enjoyable time for the four of us, and we are sure to return!

The perfect place to stay in Placencia!

The property is beautiful and ideally situated on the beach and next to the Placencia sidewalk. The ocean views are gorgeous and the beach is clean and well maintained. Everyone was friendly and helpful with any needs or questions that we had. We enjoyed meeting Ms. Joyce, the property manager, and Harrison and Jaime were wonderful help with our luggage and any other needs we had. There is a grocery store close by which was very convenient for us. I will definitely stay here again when I return and I have already referred several friends and family members to Hisbiscus Breeze!

Perfekte Unterkunft in Placencia

Diese Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen. Sie ist ruhig gelegen und befindet sich direkt am Karibikstrand. Von der Veranda aus bietet sich ein sehr schöner Blick auf das Meer. Im Ort ist das Appartement gut angebunden. Alles ist fussläufig über den sogenannten Sidewalk für Fußgänger erreichbar. Ein Supermarkt befindet sich überdies gleich um die Ecke. Das Appartement ist sehr gut und in gehobener Weise ausgestattet. Die Klimaanlagen sorgen bei Wunsch über gut temperierte Kühlung. Der Service der Hausverwalter vor Ort ist sehr zuvorkommend und serviceorientiert. Mit der Buchung dieser Unterkunft macht man in Placencia alles richtig.

Location is awesome

We stayed at the Moonflower the 3rd week of August, 2018. The Suite upstairs met all of our needs. There are two units downstairs if you had to rent out for a large family. It was just me, my wife and our 12 year old son. Plenty of space upstairs though, for a bigger family. Clean, quite, and relaxing. A/C worked great. Kitchen has some pots pans, microwave, coffee maker, and blender. The location is just short walks to everything you need- small store for water/beer/wine/food, restaurants, rentals, and entertainment. The Beach is right there. One day the beach had some sea grass, but the rest of the time it was pretty clear. Most of the days we went out on excursions. Casey, the owner is really helpful answering any questions and will guide you in right direction if you need it. He responds really quick. He recommend TrulyWildBelize, and Eric (boat/fishing/snorkeling guide) for the excursions we did. Both were really trustworthy to do business with and very knowledgeable. I would also recommend them highly. For TrulyWildBelize, ask for Percy on the Monkey River tour and Mike on the Maya Ruins at Xunantunich and cave tubing. Both those tours I would say are almost a must (the ruins and tubing is a full day). The snorkeling sites are the Cayes about 45 mins off the beach, depending on the boat you take and the weather that day. Snorkeling is also a must. The reef is in pretty good shape with a variety of fish, coral, turtles, and nurse sharks. The Moonflower is defiantly a property I would return to.

Great accommodation, Casey and Joyce super helpful, great location. Excellent AC! You can walk everywhere or rent a golf cart or bike. Only thing missing is a swimming pool (you can’t swim off beach because of sea grass) and a bbq. BBQ was sorely missed. Otherwise it was a fab trip.

Fabulous family vacation

Our family, including 2 small grandchildren had a perfect stay at The Moonflower-top floor condo. The apt was beautifully decorated, clean, bright and sunny with an outstanding sweeping view of sandy beach and ocean. Great location, just close enough to the center of activity and just far enough to feel as if you have your own quiet beach. Cindy, the manager, was always available and helpful. She was able to solve my booking mistakes instantly and I was most thankful. We can't wait to return to The Moonflower! Thank you, Casey and Cindy Janet in Boulder

Beautiful home and perfect location!

The home has recently been renovated and it is beautiful, with lots of personal touches to make it very homey. There were seven of us traveling together so we ended up renting the entire house, which was perfect! Plenty of room for the various groups to each have their own space. The house was immaculate and the grounds-crew worked daily to rake the sand and keep things nice. Loads of beach chairs, hammocks to encourage lounging and the onsite laundry was a nice perk so we always had fresh towels. Cindy was very accessible and answered our calls and questions about things we needed. The location was perfect, right on the Placencia sidewalk so we were able to get to grocery stores, fruit stands, restaurants and little shops easily each day. There are plenty of beach chairs and hammocks to encourage lounging, and the property offered equal parts sun and shade to accommodate everyone's preference throughout our stay. One suggestion--it would have been nice to have a grill on the property so we could prepare meals on site. The only thing that was a bummer during our stay--that wasn't really the fault of the owners or anyone on site--was the amount of seagrass and trash that washed up on shore the first few days. It really prevented us from enjoying the beautiful beach right outside our door, which was the reason we picked that location. We had to go find other cleaner beaches until the "stuff" cleared out, which it eventually did. It really is a sad commentary on how people treat the planet to see all the trash wash up on shore and spoil the natural beauty of the area. I would highly suggest Rumfish, Tipsy Tuna and Barefoot Bar for evenings out. We enjoyed them all. Maya Beach Bistro is a drive, but was lovely. We spent one afternoon at Mariposa as well when we couldn't use our beach, and as long as we ordered food/drinks, they didn't mind that we used their pool and beach. My favorite thing of the week however, was the full-day excursion to Ranguana Caye. It was a postcard perfect private island and the snorkeling was amazing and the BBQ lunch was delicious!

Perfect beachside home

We LOVED our stay at Moonflower. The location is perfect - it is right on the beach and it is walking distance to everything. We didn't need our car at all. It is a short walk down the beach or boardwalk to restaurants and bars, grocery stores, shops, etc. The home itself is beautiful, modern, immaculately clean, and very well equipped. We had everything we needed - tons of cooking supplies, plenty of soft bath towels, beach towels, wonderfully hot showers, a TV with several movie channels, and a huge balcony for relaxing and looking at the sea. The beds were super comfortable and the A/C kept us nice and cool the entire time. Communication with Casey was great, and Cindy, the property manager, is so responsive and helpful. We mentioned to Cindy that the only thing missing from Moonflower was a hammock - and she brought one right over! We were swinging comfortably on the beach within an hour! It truly is an amazing place to stay. We recommend wholeheartedly to anyone staying in Placencia. We will be back!

Moonflower is the perfect place to stay in Placencia. It is on the beach and near the Sidewalk.

Moonflower was great for our family of four. It has everything we needed for our week long vacation. It is close to restaurants and shops without being too close to the bar scene. The view from the master bedroom of the ocean and palm trees on the beach cannot be beat. It's a great way to wake up and start the day!

Fantastic and memorable trip! We will definitely choose Moonflower for our next trip to Placencia.

The Moonflower is dreamy. It suited our family of 4 just perfectly. I loved being on the second story simply for the privacy and the views, and being on the sidewalk was ideal for Placencia. I have absolutely nothing but great things to say from the moment i booked with Casey, through the entire trip of eating at most every place possible, to excursions (Chino- lives next to Ricks), to the grounds keeper (Wilson), to housekeeping (Kay), to Cindy who always made us feel welcome. The water is much better than San Pedro. Ranguana Caye is a must for the best Island day trip. D’Tatch was our favorite for lunch...try the nachos and the Rum Punch. Bocawina Forest was a fun day of ziplining and seeing the waterfalls. The food @ the restaurant there was amazing. Honestly i could tell you our entire trip and not one bad thing could be said. Moonflower is the place to stay in Placencia!

We stayed at Moonflower for our vacation and it was wonderful. The house is beautiful and well set up. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for making meals. The bathrooms were brand new. The house has space for your family to be together or have a little space. We stayed with our three adult children and it was the best! There is a private beach out the door, the beach is extremely clean, there is a groundskeeper who is always making sure it is perfect. There is a full balcony that looks at the ocean. It was great for relaxing after a day of activities. The location is perfect for walking on the Sidewalk and visiting all of the local businesses and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here!

Belizian Hardwood Beauty

Enjoy the craftsmanship of over a dozen Hardwoods from Belize while vacationing in this home. This well-maintained house provides all the comforts of home (hot, hot water, great water pressure in a huge shower, a dishwasher, kitchen tools for easy Caribbean cooking, and a washing machine too, with plenty of clothespins on the line for drying towels in the tropical breeze). This home is located on the beach front and is also “on the famous Placencia sidewalk” for quick walking access to groceries, restaurants, and the waterfront for boating activities. We snorkeled every day with a local independent guide, Rico Foreman. He is fantastic and has vast knowledge of the reef. He also offers a sunset cruise in a beautiful boat that he built crafted with hardwood accents. Adventuring in Belize is easy because the language is English, the local residents are friendly (just say hello to everybody you pass), the cultures are interesting, and the streets feel safe. The owner is very responsive to all questions before and during your stay at Moonflower. Casey has also developed a very helpful guide to get your vacation off to a quick start. This home was perfect! We were in paradise

we couldn't of ask for a more perfect vacation. The house was amazing and in a great location, we were within walking distance to everything.
