"Das Hotel war sehr sauber. Es wurden täglich die Handtücher gewechselt. Insgesamt ist das Hotel ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer waren sehr großzügig geschnitten.
Das Frühstücksbüffet war für Kontinentaleuropäer gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aufschnitt gab es nicht. Warme Eiergerichte und das typisch englische Frühstück mussten separat bestellt werden. Fehlende Büffetkomponenten ( Croissants, Toast, Joghurt) wurden nur bei Nachfrage sporadisch aufgefüllt.

"Nice enough place but clearly unprepared and understaffed for local Summer Sessions event. Reception queue and bar queue far too long and not enough fully-trained staff to deal with everyone in a timely manner.
Also, paid on arrival but the full amount also STILL on hold in my account a second time a week later! Given it's already expensive for a 1 night stay, this is unacceptable, especially the week before payday!
Sort it out!!!"

One day the turn down service consisted of making one bed (we had 3)and leaving the door to our room ajar. No fresh towels or tea facilities restocked or floor hoovered (we were later told by reception that they dont vaccuuum the rooms?!?!). Waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken in the adjacent pub then 1...

However. this Village Hotel in Edinburgh has a maintenance issue with their pool and it was closed, and there was nothing to advise the public on the booking platform that for the dates we chose this was the case."
