This beautiful home is less than 10 minutes from downtown Brevard and has easy access to DuPont state forest and Pisgah National Forest. The single level home is on a flat lot with easy access. It's very private, great for bikers and convenient to local attractions. There is a fenced back yard for dogs, and the house is on a huge lot looking out toward the French Broad River valley with mountains in the distance. FREE activities including Biltmore, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, Snow Tubing and Axe Throwing.

The home is called Shea Farm and until a couple years ago it was an active farm that grew produce that was donated to the local food bank. There are fruit trees, flowers and lots of food crops still growing so if you find that spending time in the garden is therapeutic there is a lot to like about Shea Farm. This home is easy to access in the flat area overlooking the French Broad River valley with a beautiful view of the mountains beyond. No mountain roads to navigate, and easy to get into the house, up just a couple of steps to the front porch.

It's only about an eight minute drive to downtown Brevard where you will find a wonderful assortment of shops, restaurants, museums and breweries. Come and visit the Porter Center at Brevard College for musical and other events, and check out Brevard Music Center for the Mountain Song Festival and lots of wonderful concerts during the summer months.

This area is a haven for cyclists and you will find miles of great roads for biking. If you want some off-road action, there are lots of opportunities for mountain biking as well. There is secure storage in the garage for your bikes and gear, and there's even a bike rack if you need to do some bike maintenance.

Brevard is home to lots of waterfalls and is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can enjoy biking, hiking and scenic drives. There are plenty of opportunities for camping, sightseeing, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Be sure to take a day trip to the Biltmore Estate and spend a day in Asheville. Hendersonville and Asheville are both only about a 40 minute drive.

Fabulous property! Clean, comfortable and well laid out. Plenty of seating, great kitchen table for card games with family, and enough space in the kitchen for meals. Property group was easy to communicate and made the check in and check out process super easy.

This is a wonderful property! All upscale finishes. Kitchen was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and looking over the fields to the mountains beyond. We plan to stay here again when we are in the area.

Mother Daughter Getaway

Shea Farm was a lovely space to relax for our mother daughter getaway. There was plenty of space and a well stocked kitchen. Location was great for exploring Brevard and surrounding areas.

Clean, Spacious Home in Great NC Location

I loved the layout of the home - huge kitchen with everything you might need! The house was spotless and very comfortable. Safe, fenced in area for dogs. Close to the mountains, but very easy to access. I liked that it wasn’t on one of the curvy, hilly mountain roads. Would definitely stay again!

Family Vacation

We are a family of 5, with three young kids. Wanted to get away from the heat of Florida and enjoy the N.C. nature. This house located in the desired area, less than 10 min away from Pisgah Forest and Dupont forest. Not far from Biltmore. We would have a daily morning hikes, or horseback rides, come home for lunch, and break and head right back out to swim in the waterfalls and admire the views. Shea Farms house was just "home away from home"! Fully equipped, like your parents house. Everything was convenient, comfortable, in working order. Anything I needed (as a busy mom) - was there. Special thanks to Pete, who instantly replied when I had a question, and went above and beyond to place a kitchen item for our special need. Thank you Becky as well to chatting with me this morning. This has been a lovely stay.

Nice house in a great location

This is a nice house (I wouldn't call it a farmhouse, it's quite modern). It's both about 10 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from DuPont Forest, and we made a couple trips to Asheville as well. The kitchen was very nice and reasonably equipped, and the floorplan is nice with the MBR on the opposite side of the house from the kids' rooms. There's not really much to the backyard other than the dog area, but it was pretty hot while we were there so we wouldn't have spent much time outside other than the mornings on the back porch drinking coffee. Having the garage was super helpful for storing the bikes. Will definitely look to stay here again the next time we're in the area.

LOVE This Place

Very comfortable home & well stocked.

The home was very comfortable and had a large kitchen and family room, which was great for our group of six - my husband and me and our son and his family. The home was well stocked including kit utensils pots pans bath towels etc. The location was close to both Brevard and Hendersonville, which we visited as well as multiple trips on the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking and waterfall viewing! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful

The house is well laid out and beautiful. The fenced in area is just big enough to safely let our dog out, but the grounds were extensive enough to walk her. We enjoyed our time and highly suggest anyone coming to the area to consider this house. A huge shout out to Pete, who came out on Christmas Day to take care of an issue. He did it with a smile. So, I doubly recommend this house as we had wonderful support when we needed it.
