Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala is notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Bathing time..
A cool village situated in the vicinity of the newly established Pinnawala Open Air Zoo. It is still under construction. Therefore, not highly recommended to visit. Still there are few amazing sights to see around and there are quite a few of Leopards in the park.
Reserve half a day on your schedule in Sri Lanka to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. You can have a close look on to these giants and even hand feed them or take a ride on top of an elephant. Worth the money you spend here. Make sure you wait for them to get into the river for a bath. Check the Pinnawala daily schedule before you go.

Enjoyed the gym, pool (very warm), and the room was clean. Enjoyed the welcome drink, even if check-in seemed a tad slow. The service at the bar was also very slow, and we actually cancelled our order and went elsewhere for some food. Breakfast was superb and staff were friendly.

Et rigtig fedt pool område med flot udsigt over byen og med udsigt til solnedgang. Dog er værelserne slidt, trænger til opfriskning. Streaming på TV virkede ikke. Vi fik vasket tøj hos dem og det kom tilbage fugtigt. Men ellers okay pris for det man får
