Not much to do in town, accept visit the lighthouse. Bay access is not far on foot if you want to launch a canoe or kayak. "Very attentive when we needed them and beyond our expectations when we arrived at the house. Check in was so easy and our family had so much fun. We actually had a small wedding with the 13 of us and they had their private chef come and cook dinner for us - Chef Erica was the best! Everything came out amazing! The views, the water, fishing, biking, kayaking, pool, ping pong… game nights! We were able to do it all! And don’t forget the movie theater!"

"Our family of 4 came for a long weekend at Solomons Island, where we spent time as kids. The Retreat on the Patuxent is an ideal place to get away for peaceful relaxation, while being conveniently located near the restaurants and attractions at Solomons. My mom loved the upstairs bedroom/bathroom suite, and the downstairs bedrooms were spacious for me, my sister, and her husband. "The view was spectacular! It suited our needs and we overall loved the place and enjoyed our stay very much. For the price we paid we weren’t happy with the cleanliness when we got there. None of the furniture was very comfortable in the main family room. There were no cushions on some of the chairs and the furniture needed some attention! The outside needed a lot of attention as well. Even just a lawn would’ve been nice. But I will say we enjoyed ourselves very much and would come back again! "
