  • Una encantadora residencia de piedra, ubicada en 37 acres de viejos robles y prados perfectos, tranquilos y privados, pero lo suficientemente cerca de todas las atracciones recreativas y culturales del Hudson Valley y sitios históricos. Un escondite perfecto para amantes de la naturaleza, excursionistas, artistas y otras personas que simplemente buscan descanso e inspiración. Elegantemente decorado con 150 plantas de lavanda, tiene un sabor romántico de la Provenza con la pérgola envuelta en vid y la piedra local utilizada como material de construcción para las paredes del jardín, la casa en sí y la piscina climatizada. Observación de estrellas por la noche, ciervos que pastan durante el día, visitas de halcones y pavos salvajes. Solo 20 min. conducir hasta el parque estatal Minnewaska y la reserva Mohonk.
    Ofrecemos Wi-Fi, TV por cable, reproductor de CD @ DVD, cocina totalmente equipada con mv, lavaplatos y refrigerador, y lavadora y secadora.

What an amazing property!! My family and I stayed here over a long weekend and couldn’t have asked for more. The property is gorgeous, the house can actually fit a large number of people without feeling cramped, the beds were comfortable, it was just an excellent stay. We had a fantastic time at this beautiful property. We created timeless memories with our family. Everything was perfect from the start of accessing the property to checking out. The pool is beautiful and has a beautiful view behind it. We really enjoyed eating in the back patio. Bedrooms were also comfortable and clean, and easily accommodated us and our two young boys in the master bedroom. My eldest already declared he wants to go back! Great place, highly recommend!

We (3 couples) had a lovely, peaceful stay. The property and surrounding land was just as described in VRBO—beautiful! We spent a ton of time in and around the pool (heat wave in NY that week)—lots of comfortable seating for chatting, drinks and snacks. We used the grill a bunch—high end grill! The house is special too. Ample space for 6. Thanks again!

Such a BEAUTIFUL house !!! Pool was warm and the property is over the top gorgeous!! Birds galore !! We took family AND engagement photos in the fields ! Host were very accommodating and easy to get a hold of! Oh and comfy pillows !!

Dreamiest Gals Weekend

This property is STUNNING and the hosts are just lovely! The on-site amenities, nearby wineries, Angry Orchard Cider House, Gardiner (Wilflower Farms restaurant is to die for), New Paltz farmers market, and Gunks hiking are all incredible. Cannot recommend a stay here enough!

Wonderful House and Hose

The house was absolutely amazing as was the property. We needed a getaway from NYC and the house and host was the perfect solution for us. The property provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway to the outdoors.

Incredible expericent

Irena and Richard were phenomenal hosts. They were eager help us in any way necessary to ensure an enjoyable stay. We were in the area for my son's graduation from Marist University and the extra days enjoying family times in such a beautiful environment was amazing!

Beautiful property, relaxing stay

We had a wonderful week-long stay this summer. We spent every day lounging by the pool and our family (including our girls and our dog) loved exploring the property and playing in the yard. It was a great escape from the NYC area. The house was cozy, comfortable and easy to settle into. All the small details were thought of - the kitchen was great and there were plenty of beach towels and floats. We left ready to plan our next stay!

Greatest family weekend

Our stay was delightful. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. The outdoor grounds were beautiful. Watching nature unfold, swimming in the pool, and relaxing in the whirlpool were just a few highlights. Every possible item you needed in the kitchen was there. Even the dog thought she made it to heaven.

Magical!!

We had an incredible family vacation at this property and would strongly recommend it to everyone!!! Our hosts, Irena and Richard were so incredibly sweet and accommodating and made us feel at home. The home and property are breathtaking and made us feel relaxed and rejuvenated. The nostalgia of the home was something out of a storybook that made you feel somehow deeply connected to the past. We can't say enough! Thank you Irena and Richard!

Relaxing family getaway

We stayed at Lavender Hill for five nights with six adults and two grandchildren. It rained for most of our stay. We did manage to use the pool which was great. The property was really the highlight with so many seating areas. The covered dinning table was a life saver because of the weather. The bedrooms were a good size as well as the bathrooms. The kitchen could use a bit of a refresh and a problem with flies which we pointed out to them.Communication was wonderful. We had a little issue and they immediately took care of it. Overall a great stay.

Perfect NYC Escape

This was a perfect 4th of July escape from NYC. We managed to keep the driving to reasonable times given the holiday weekend. The property was everything that was advertised. A beautifully maintained property that offers real privacy, with all the amenities you would want for a summer escape-- pool, firepit, hot tub, and acres of beautiful property to look at and explore. The house is rustic, roomy, and with the feel of a villa in Southern Europe, highlighted by an incredible book collection that makes me want to come back to read! The property is also very dog friendly (our pup Ruthie was in heaven the whole weekend) and filled with friendly wildlife- deer, turkeys, and chipmunks abounded.

All we hoped for and more

My wife and I stayed with our two sons and families - 6 adults and two children ages 4 and 10 and our dog. The house is absolutely perfect. The kitchen (and outdoor grill) are great for cooking for a large group and the dining area outside is delightful. We had total privacy even tough Richard and Irena are nearby and they were totally considerate of our space. The grounds are absolutely lovely with beautiful flowers and hummingbirds flying around. The pool is heated and the hot tub is new and cosy. My son's last words before they returned home to Minnesota were "Can we plan on staying here every year?" and my answer is "Yes. That would be perfect."

Fantastic, Five-Star Vacation!

We had a fantastic vacation! This property ticks all the boxes. Comfort, privacy and a heated pool nestled in the shadow of the Shawangunk mountain ridge. The hosts are very friendly, they live in a separate house across the wide driveway; They are friendly and available when needed but respect your privacy. The rental house is completely separate and private from the hosts' residence. A lovely property with many shaded nooks to hang out, snack, swim, read, relax, etc.. Don't neglect to visit Minnewaska while you are here. Check out the trail up to Castle Rock. The view of the 'Gunks and the Catskills in the distance will blow your mind! Thanks Irina and Richard, for your hospitality. We're so glad we came and we look forward to the next occasion, if we get the chance!

Relaxation at Lavender Hills

Richard and Irena were amazing hosts who were super communicative and kind. The house and property are just beautiful. The pool was where we spent the majority of our time and the variety of seating areas allowed our group multiple sites to relax. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The outdoor grill was used almost everyday and allowed us to eat Al fresco! The house was so lovely that my colleagues are thinking of renting it out for their stays! We didn’t venture too far off but when we did we saw frogs, garter snakes and jumping spiders! Also just be careful walking too far into the woods one of us did get a tick bite. Other than that we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you Irena and Richard!! — we did have a dog with us and the house was well prepped with a dog bowl :)

I will be back! My happy place

I have found my happy place. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us. We came for a quick trip but we will be back for longer this summer for sure. The grounds are even nicer then pictured. You can tell they are constantly improving. We walked to the stream. We used the hot tub day and night. We sat outdoors and indoors. We cooked dinner in the great kitchen. It was not warm enough for the pool yet but that's why we want to come back this summer. We did visit some places in the area. We took a hike around minnewaska lake and stopped at tuthill distillery on the way back. Honestly we didn't want to leave the property. I barely could bring myself to leave when our time was up. We will be back.

Warm, comfortable, beautiful, historic. Our kids' jaws dropped as the gates opened and we pulled up the drive to the beautiful stone house. The property was expertly manicured with so many flower beds and so much space to roam. The pool was excellent and theres plenty of lounge area in both sun amd shade. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and look recently updated which was really cool for a 100 year old farm house! The hosts were easily accessible and gave good recommendations for local things to do. They also helped out when I accidentally left something behind. We hiked the Sams Point area of Minnewaska (the ice caves were so much fun) and did an introductory rock climbing course with Alpine Endeavors -- Jarren (probbaly misspelled) was a wonderful guide. We drove from Manhattan in under 2 hours, making this an easy side journey from NYC.Our stay was not long enough, so we will just have to come back later!
