Lovely location with potential for improvement.
The apartment is on a beautiful, tree-lined street surrounded by 19th-century brick mansions and close to great restaurants and shopping. Check-in was initially frustrating, as the instructions didn’t clarify that the keypad above the lock is black and doesn’t look like a keypad at all. Management was confused at first but eventually got me in.The unit itself is pleasant, though it could use a few thoughtful touches: a rug, towel bars in the bathroom, a paint refresh and shelving in the toilet room, blinds, and an electrical outlet. Also, while cream and sugar were provided, there was no coffee—which felt like a miss, as coffee is standard these days. Dish soap should also be included if guests are asked to wash dishes. The bathroom sink was clogged.The biggest issue was the outsourced management company. I reported the clogged sink and mentioned I'd gotten four bites that seemed like bed bug bites—though I found no evidence after checking thoroughly. As a former Superhost, I shared this so the unit could be inspected and tested for the bugs. I was shocked when management asked me to send a photo of the bites—located in a sensitive area—which I felt was inappropriate.Would I stay here again? Possibly—if the communication improves and small issues are addressed.
